Happy Friday everyone and what a week it’s been on the blog! It’s been super busy one with lots of extra articles for you and some amazing weddings. But Friday is here and it’s nearly time to get excited for the weekend! My weekend starts today as Dexter has broken up for half term, so we are off to Nottingham for a DJ lesson, he is so excited! Then it’s on with the half term fun, lots of Halloween days out planned, I can’t wait! But first we have Shikha and Toby’s glorious wedding to share with you. The main aim for their wedding was to stay as sustainable as possible and make sure their wedding reflected them as a couple, fusing their cultures and personalities together. They held a gorgeous outdoor woodland ceremony, followed by one heck of a party, I don’t think I have ever seen a dance floor so full at a wedding! Big thanks to Sasha Weddings for the lovely photos.
Our wedding day felt like a true reflection of us as a couple and the values we share. It was the perfect fusion of our cultures and our personalities.
Shikha and Toby were married on 25th June 2022 at Alpheton Hall Barns in Suffolk. ‘We were keen on keeping our wedding as sustainable as possible, and support as many independent small businesses as we could. Nic and Carol have beautiful values that match our own, as well as a gorgeous rustic feel to their venue. Also importantly, as a multicultural couple we needed a flexible venue that allowed us to really make the day our own and incorporate our own traditions, foods etc. Alpheton was an entirely dry hire venue but strongly believe their couples should spend money on things that are important so stock many props and decorations. This really allowed us to focus our energy on personalising the day. We had 200 guests and it took 18 months to plan.’

As well as planning your wedding to perfection, actually capturing it on the day is SO important. Now, you can choose to either hire a professional videographer (something that we here at Boho strongly recommend) or ask a family member or friend to be your videographer. That will depend on your budget and planning. But, you also need to pay attention to how you want the video to look.

Happy Thursday everyone and how are you all? Today is the last day of this half term as our kids break up from school today. Nik and I are off work tomorrow then I am juggling child care and the blog the following week. I have lots of Halloween fun planned for me and Dexter, so lots of things to look forward to. But today it’s on with the blog and it’s time for this gorgeous autumnal themed styled shoot. The shoot took place on 3rd August 2022 in Gatesville, Texas, it was Captured by Mercedes Morgan Photography and submitted by Gatherings Reimagined, There is so much wedding goodness in this shoot, the attention to detail is outstanding from the gorgeous ceremony area to the reception set up, so much inspiration!!

Boots and dress boots have taken have become a staple for grooms over the past few years. Changing up the usual dress shoe look, boots add a new and unique dimension to almost any outfit.
If you don’t know the first thing about mens boots or are not sure which pair to choose for your wedding, here is everything you need to know about men’s dress boots.

Size
When it comes to sizing, it is important to find the right sized boot. While this may sound obvious, you need to find a pair that fits perfectly with the socks you will wear; if there is too much movement, your ankles will hate you.
Material
There are a few materials to choose from, but the two best are suede and leather. Both materials are easily the most stylish, and if you choose simple colors such as browns and blacks, they will go with almost any outfit.
Style
Most dress boots will fall into one of three categories. Chelsea boots, Derby Boots, and Chukka boots all have their own unique touches and looks, with each boot fitting into different outfits for different occasions.

Versatility
When it comes to picking a boot, versatility is something to keep in mind. A good pair of boots can cost a bit of money, but that doesn’t mean you have to get a pair that you can only wear with one outfit or for one type of occasion.
To keep it simple, choose a boot that is a versatile colour, such as black or brown. If you have the money to spend, getting a pair in each of those colours means you always have a pair of boots for any and every outfit.
It would also be a good choice not to get a boot that is highly decorated, such as a boot with large buckles or has a full-cover print.

I just love today’s wedding. It is super stylish and filled with Modern Boho decoration that fits in beautifully with this super cool venue. Destiny and Nicholas chose The Woodshed for their California wedding as it was perfect for their whimsical yet modern wedding day. The venue with it’s wood panelling and hanging plants speaks for itself, it is so unique and full of style. They mirrored the venues interiors with soft creams, browns and a mixture of terracotta to amazing effect. Destiny added her own stamp with her hand made macramé wall hanging, which works perfectly as a ceremony backdrop. I just love this wedding, it is right up my street, modern with a mixture of Boho, wedding perfection! Big thank you to The Olive Bungalow for the fab photos.
The most perfect magical day to celebrate and declare our love for each other. A culmination of our whole relationship and drawn out planning process came to a head at last.
Destiny and Nicholas were married on 20th November 2021 at the The Woodshed in Vista, California. ‘After seeing the venue for the first time we knew we didn’t need to look any further. The vibe was perfect and fit us so well! We had 75 (ish) guests and it took 2 years to plan (due to pandemic rescheduling)’
