Jude and Jacon’s ‘Best Day of Our Lives’ Rustic West Yorkshire Wedding by Fabio Photography

Today I am taking you to West Yorkshire for the wedding of Jude and Jacon a gorgeous couple who wanted a rustic style wedding and this they found at their gorgeous venue Bowers Mill. I have featured this venue before on the blog, it’s a beautiful venue full or rustic charm and lots of scope to really put your own personality into the day. Jude and Jacon chose an intimate day of 50 guests and surprised them all with the undercover waiters, who look like so much fun. Fabio Photography was there to capture the day and what a fabulous job he did.

The perfect day, better than we could have ever imagined. It was the best day of our lives, so far.

Jude and Jacon  were married on 23rd May 2025 at Bowers Mill in Halifax. ‘We wanted something that was quite rustic! And the venue bowers mill just was the perfect fit, we had 50 guests. We started planning around 2 years prior to the wedding’ 

How they met
We both met on Tinder a month before the pandemic but we have realised we had a lot of coincidences and our paths had crossed quite a few times before.

The proposal
Jacob proposed at Betty’s Tea room in York. York is my favourite place. He had the waiter in on it and they filmed the whole proposal while making me think the waiter was taking a photo of us. They had a pianist playing in the room and it was just perfect. They played Beauty and The beast as we got engaged, so that was the song I walked down the Aisle too.

The dress 
Brides to be bridal shop for the brides dress. I got the bridesmaid dresses from JJ’s house as you can choose the colour you want and then I let the girls pick  the dress they wanted as i wanted everyone to feel confident and comfortable as we all have different styles.

The suit

Theme or colour scheme
We wanted the Theme to be just us and our favourite colours and that Emo was never just a phase.

Entertainment
We had the undercover waiters for the wedding breakfast and a DJ for the evening!

Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We went on a cruise around the Mediterranean for a few weeks straight after!! And it was the best time of our life!

Special moments 
We had The Undercover Waiters which were amazing. All our loved ones singing Blink 182-Miss you with us as we cut our cake was a very special moment to us as it’s our song.
The moment when we first locked eyes at the end of the aisle. And my Mum walking me down the aisle as we’re both trying not to cry.

Advice for other couples
It’s over before you know it! So enjoy every moment of it as it’s a day you will forever look back on.
