Ask The Experts: 5 Things to Consider When Picking Groomsmen Gifts

Picking a gift for your groomsmen can be difficult. Between personal preferences of each groomsman, to the overall cost of getting the gift, finding something that works for everyone can be a challenge.
For some first class advice follow these 5 tips to pick the perfect groomsmen gift for your friends.

5 Tips for Picking Groomsmen Gifts

Tip #1: Consider the personality of each groomsman.

One of the best ways to make your groomsmen gifts memorable is to consider the personality of each groomsman when selecting the gift. Sure, picking a single item as your gift for all of your groomsmen is easy, but maybe the perfect gift for one friend ends up being a closet-stasher for another.

For example, a personalized flask might be a big hit with a few of your groomsmen. But what if others don’t even drink?
Or, say you decide to get custom engraved watches for your groomsmen. Do you get all of them the same oversized gold watch? Or do you consider the style and preferences of each groomsman before buying the right watch for each person specifically? We suggest the latter.

When the weather is doing it’s best to make us forget that summer even exists, flicking though travel blogs and holiday brochures may seem like the most inspiring wedding planning job you can do right now. For that reason, I have invited our resident Honeymoon expert Tom back to the blog to offer you some of his expert advice. Today he is looking at Southeast Asia as a honeymoon destination and reading through all these ideas makes me want to jet off straight away! I hope you can draw some inspiration from his fab ideas.

Amazing Destinations in Southeast Asia for your Honeymoon

Getting married is one of the top ten most stressful things that you can do. That is why it is so important that you take a honeymoon so that you can relax together as a couple and plan your new life together. Here are some amazing destinations in Southeast Asia for your honeymoon.

Singapore

Singapore is an exciting place to go for a honeymoon. This country is off the coast of south Malaysia and there are plenty of things to do. There are luscious gardens to visit like Gardens by the Bay and Botanic Gardens Singapore. Explore the romantic Changi Point Coastal Walk. Go on a romantic cable car ride where you can have dinner and see the thrilling sights below. Head over to Sentosa Island for a relaxing beach break. You can get fabulous accommodation with a view of the water and the stunning city skyscape.

Philippines

The Philippines is a beautiful country and Boracay is a stunning island that is known for its fabulous beaches and resorts. You can easily reach this destination by flight from Manila and you will find pristine beaches, very few people, and wonderful resorts to stay in. Head over to the east coast if you are interested in water sports as it gets quite windy there. There are also plenty of coral reefs and shipwrecks if you want to go snorkeling or scuba diving.

Wedding Entertainment – Fantastic Ideas for Entertaining Guests

Wedding Entertainment is such a BIG subject! There is so much to choose from and so many options. Choosing your wedding entertainment should reflect you as a couple. There is no point choosing a rock band if you and your guests only like soul music, whereas if you both love magic, choosing a magician to hire would be a perfect fit. The type of wedding you hold can often dictate the type if entrainment you choose. Lots of live music works best for a festival type wedding, while garden games and the like work better for a village fete type wedding. There are so many options out there, from bands, DJs, comedians, cartoonists, dancers, flair bar people, casinos……the list is endless, so make sure you choose what is right for you and your guests.

Getting Ready for the Wedding: 5 Ideas for Entertaining Guests

Photo by James & Kerrie wedding Photography – full wedding here

Wedding entertainment depends not only on the theme and style of the wedding but also on financial possibilities. If you have unlimited funds, you can invite entertainers, actors, singers, and possibly popular music groups to entertain your guests. If your budget is smaller then you may need to get a bit more creative but that doesn’t mean you and your guests can’t have fun.

The main thing is to choose entertainment that fits you as a couple and the theme of the wedding. The day has to flow, so you need to make sure that whatever you choose fits in with your own style and what you think your guests will appreciate. Garden games with a village fete feel may not fit an elegant and glamourous wedding, while a trapeze artist won’t fit a village fete wedding. Read on for some excellent ideas on how to make your wedding entertainment shine!
