Fotini and Adam’s Boho Chic White, Cream and Terracotta Greek Wedding

Today I am taking you of to beautiful Greece for the stunning Boho Chic wedding of Fotini and Adam. With Fotini’s family coming from Greece, she wanted to honour this by getting married in Greece. After enlisting the help of expert wedding planner White Ribbon they decided on the delightful island of Tinos. The whole wedding is just beautiful, with a traditional Greek church service followed by a Boho inspired reception. The décor is light and bright, a mix of white, soft creams and accents of terracotta, pure wedding heaven! A charming day, filled with sunshine, love and the most idyllic location.

It was a dream come true to get married in Greece, overlooking the Aegean sea. The whole day was totally carefree, exactly as we had envisioned and we were able to soak it all in surrounded by our nearest and dearest.

Fotini and Adam were married on 17th September 2022, the ceremony was at Agia Paraskevi Church, Isternia, Tinos in Greece with the reception at Bianco Beach Restaurant, Tinos. ‘Fotini’s family comes from Greece and we were looking for a traditional Greek island to have our wedding. Our wedding planner proposed Tinos and we were mesmerized by the beauty and authenticity of the island when we visited it before deciding. We had 85 guests and it took 2 years to plan with Covid-related delays.’

How they met
We met at one of Fotini’s cousin’s wedding in 2014 and have been together ever since.

The proposal
Adam proposed in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat after a long coastal walk and a champagne picnic that he planned all on his own!

How did you allocate your budget?
We allocated almost 50% on the venue, food and beverages, a 30% on the décor, a 15% on the sound & lights to have the best party and the remaining on our wonderful photographers and an amazing wedding planner.

Where did you splurge and where did you save?
We splurged on the food and drinks and saved on décor since the venue was already naturally beautiful.

How did you choose your photographer?
We chose our photographers Teo & Anna for their ability to capture wedding stories in an unpretentious and meaningful way.

The dress
My wedding dress & veil was from Halfpenny London and shoes from Jimmy Choo.

The suit and bridesmaids
The groom’s suit was custom-made and Bridesmaids’ dresses were from Pretty Lavish.

Theme or colour scheme
We had a white, soft cream and terracotta theme, matching the venue’s boho style and dried Cycladic landscape of the island.

Flowers
We had white garden roses and various dried flowers to reflect the dried Cycladic landscape of the island.

Decoration
We had a bohemian theme with lots of candle decorations, modern white flower arrangements paired with brass touches and hanging dried arrangements along with a sea of fairy lights hanging over the venue.

Food
Refined seafood-based Greek cuisine with a modern twist.

Wedding cake
We decided not have a wedding cake but instead served traditional Greek honey puffs with ice cream for dessert.

Entertainment
A DJ entertained us and our guests by playing our favourite tunes and we danced on the sand until dawn broke.

Who supplied the stationery?
We designed them ourselves and they were sent in digital form but printed some only for the photos.

Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We chose Paros island for our honeymoon and stayed at the beautiful Cove hotel.

Special moments
We did a photoshoot at the traditional village of Isternia after the ceremony, a beautiful and picturesque backdrop, which came out looking like a Greek postcard.

Advice for other couples
Our advice is to entrust their celebrations to a good wedding planner, especially for destination weddings and rest assured that their day will come out perfect!

Biggest surprise
Our parents booked an amazing sax player from Mykonos island that entertained us during the Cocktail Hour.
