Happy Tuesday everyone and Happy Birthday to me!! Today I am taking the day off to celebrate my old lady birthday! I am off out for brunch and then off to the shops to pick up my new phone and to go make up shopping. Then Nik and I are out for dinner tonight, not too shabby for an average Tuesday! On with today’s gorgeous wedding and it’s a terracotta dream of a Boho barn wedding filled with the most beautiful decoration, soft neutral fabrics and rustic detailing. Evan and Kendra held a gorgeous outdoor ceremony, followed by a big old party, where all their guest got involved in the celebrations. Big thanks to Sydney Darwin Photography for the wonderful photos.
Our wedding felt like a true fairy-tale come to life. It was the best party I’ve ever thrown, with all of our favourite people in attendance.
Evan and Kendra were married on 15th October 2022 at Land O’ Goshen Farm & Event Center in Kentucky. ‘The idea of a renovated barn has always been something on my list when I envisioned my perfect wedding. The large back patio that is attached to the barn was a big selling point, as well as the option for an outdoor ceremony with an indoor reception. We also wanted to be in the town where we met. This venue was right in the heart of our hometown. The owners were also incredibly sweet, so that didn’t hurt! We had 140 guests. I did most of the big ticket items in the first few months of being engaged, but the 8-12 months leading up to it, I continued to check all the small items off my list.’

Happy Friday everyone, how has your week been? I can’t believe it is Friday already, it’s been such a strange week. Our school was closed on Tuesday because of the strikes, so that has completely thrown me! This weekend is pre-birthday celebrations for me, as it’s my birthday on Tuesday. As last year was my 50th I’m keeping it pretty low key this year. This evening I’m going to my friends house for dinner, tomorrow we are all out as a family with some other friends and then Sunday more fun! So on with todays’ wedding and I am taking you to sunny Cancun for this stunning beach wedding in Mexico. Amanda and Parag were married on 9th February 2022 in the paradisiac Nizuc Resort and it really is a beauty of a day. From the intimate beach ceremony to the exquisite outdoor reception this wedding is pure perfection from beginning to end. Big thanks to Danny Cuevas for the amazing photos and to My Planner Journal for the submission.

Hello you lovely people and how are you all? Today is a double blog post kind of day, as I spend the morning taking you to Portugal for this super cute intimate wedding of 35! Katherine and Darren wanted a low key wedding, where their nearest and dearest could spend the whole weekend celebrating in a chilled, relaxed way. They decided a destination weeding was the way forward and then planned this stunning wedding in beautiful Portugal. The wedding was planned in 6 months then took a bit of a breather due to Covid, but it was certainly worth wait as the day is super pretty and full of rustic chic charm. I just love the colour scheme in the reception area, so so pretty! Big thanks to Maria Rao for the gorgeous images.
Katherine and Darren were married on 18th June 2022 at Luz Houses, Fatima, Portugal. ‘We wanted something small and intimate, with a natural setting that wasn’t too formal. We wanted the weekend to feel relaxed but special, with everyone able to stay together. It’s difficult to have a wedding without inviting 100 people nowadays and having it in another country is an easy way to do that! I would have happily eloped, but Darren didn’t want to, I’m glad now that we didn’t and we were able to share our day with our closest friends and family. We had 35 guests. Originally it took around 6 months to plan, when it was arranged for 2020. The pandemic forced us to change our date twice and so we ended up marrying almost 2 years after. Up until the pandemic it was really stress free and easy! But knowing if our wedding could go ahead or not added a lot of stress.’
