Your big day has finally arrived, and like your own dress, the dresses of your bridal party need to be perfect. But, from bridesmaids to flower girls, keeping on the theme while ensuring everybody is comfortable and happy can seem complicated.
But it does not have to be. Whether you are following the classic wedding style or opting for something more casual on the beach, choosing between formal dresses and girls sandals for the perfect flower girl look can be one more thing to check off.
Before you rush off to find the perfect outfit for your flower girls, there are some essential things to keep in mind. First, although large parts of the outfit will be decided by the colour scheme of your wedding and the overall theme, younger children can be quite temperamental when it comes to wearing clothes they don’t like.
After all, this is something they will have to wear for the duration of the event. Therefore, if possible, look for options not too constricting and lined with softer, breathable materials, like linen or cotton. As much as possible, stick to materials that require very little maintenance in terms of ironing, such as tulle, crepe, or lace. It is summer, so consider lighter fabrics that won’t get too hot as the day progresses.
And lastly, don’t buy any outfits too far in advance. Kids grow much quicker than adults—factor in growth spurts and changing shoe sizes to guarantee their ultimate comfort on the day.

Happy Tuesday everyone, today I am taking you over to Wales, Bangor to be exact near Snowdonia for this delightful wedding, set on the bride and grooms friends farmland. This was Nia and Llyr’s 2nd wedding, the first was cancelled due to Covid, so this is their wedding 2.0 and what a wonderful wedding it is. They went for natural tones, against the barn backdrop, lots of dried flowers and some super pretty handmade projects. Big thanks to Cat Arwel Photohgraphy for the lovely photos.
Nia and Llyr were married on 21st May 2022 (after a cancellation due to covid in June 2021) at Tyn Y Ffridd Farm in Bangor, near Snowdonia (our friend’s place). ‘After a lockdown postponement our friends offered us their place, we couldn’t resist. It had such charm and character. We all worked hard over the next 12 months to get it wedding ready… and there we have it. We both love DIY and the barn/industrial vibes so this was just perfect. We had 110 guests and 12 months to plan with a couple added on with a new venue after cancellation.’

Themed weddings have become a trend for a number of years. Gone are the days when couples will prefer to have a plain ceremony and reception. Through the years, couples have embraced organising and holding conceptual weddings to make the day more memorable. However, themed weddings can be a challenge for guests. While you want to be part of your friends or family’s remarkable journey, you will also want to fit right into the occasion. If a wedding is held in summer, there is a high chance that the theme will be boho-inspired. So today we ask the question; Are you ready for a boho wedding? and what do you need to wear to be part of a Boho themed day?
Boho is short for the term Bohemian. It’s a fashion style in the 60s and 70s that is inspired by free-spirited women. This style is mostly associated with boho dresses that are particularly made with flowing skirts and noticeable prints and embroidery.
Because of its simple elegance and chic ensemble, there is no doubt why brides, and even grooms, would want a boho-themed wedding during summer. However, if you think that bohemian dresses may be a little outdated for the 21st century, you better think again. When it is paired with the modern touch of fashion, boho dresses can certainly look more stunning than a traditional summer wedding outfit.
