I have been working in the wedding industry for just over 13 years now. As many of you may know I started my life as a wedding planner, and the blog followed soon after that! I can say hand on heart that it is a brilliant industry to be part of. It’s such an honour to be part of someone’s special day, so could a career in the wedding industry be for you? Are you creative? Do you like working with people or enjoy music curator jobs? If so, the wedding industry may be the perfect place for you. There are many jobs in the wedding industry that allow you to use your creativity and work with people. And the best part is, they can be a lot of fun! We wanted reliable information from a credible source, so we turned to career experts at Jooble for this article. They’ve researched and put together a list of the seven best jobs in the wedding industry.
A wedding planner is responsible for helping couples with every aspect of their wedding. This includes finding the perfect venue, hiring vendors, and keeping everything on track.
Wedding planners must be organized and have a passion for helping people. This job is perfect for someone who loves being in control and making sure everything goes according to plan. If you have a knack for organization and enjoy helping others, then working as a wedding planner may be the perfect career.
A wedding photographer is responsible for capturing the special moments of a couple’s big day. They need to be creative, detail-oriented, and able to work long hours.
Wedding photographers must be comfortable working with various people, as they will interact with the bride, groom, and wedding party throughout the day. In addition, wedding photographers need to be able to handle the stress of working long hours and dealing with last-minute changes.
However, the satisfaction from capturing the joy of a couple’s wedding day makes the job worth it. If you are passionate about photography and thrive in a fast-paced environment, consider a wedding photographer career.

I am starting this fine Tuesday with a super stylish and fun filled styled shoot. The shoot took place on 11th June 2021 at The Old Cow Shed in Leicestershire. It was put together by Ellen Sear and a team of talented wedding suppliers. Ellen says ‘I wanted to create boho-vintage Americana inspirational wedding content, where pastels meet neon and old barns meet graffiti, all pulled together with a touch of “Palm Springs”. I wanted to take very popular wedding details and show how you can make them your own.’ I’m sure you will agree they have done a brilliant job at creating this oasis of pastel and calm, mixed with fun and style. I love the mix of colours, the chilled décor and the Cali vibes that come from the soft images.

Happy Monday everyone, I do hope you had a good weekend? Did you celebrate Bonfire Night? We went to two displays, one on Saturday night and one on Sunday, both were amazing. I also went to my first Christmas market of the year at Chatsworth, which was lots of fun. We went into the main house which they have decorated for Christmas, so I am feeling super festive now, maybe a bit too early, but I’m going to try and keep that festive feeling going for the next couple of months! So on with today’s wedding and it’s the turn of Helen and Donnie who were married on their families property on 5th September 2021 at Valdese in North Carolina. They worked on the site for months to clear trees, create a road and create a reception area. They made their own wedding venue, that has now become Emerald Glen Weddings! Their décor was inspired by bohemian colours and textures with a Twilight-like feel to the forest and lights. It was an absolutely beautiful wedding, I just love it! Big thanks to Haley Boothe Photography for the lovely collection of images.

Happy Friday everyone. How on earth has it got to the weekend already?? This week has flown by! It’s another busy weekend here, with bonfire celebrations both Saturday and Sunday which should be fun! This evening I am off to the theatre with Dexter, and tomorrow day I am off to my first Christmas market of the season with my best friend for a girly day at Chatsworth House. So busy busy busy!! On with today’s wedding though and it’s the turn of Kathy and Jack who were married on 4th December 2021 in Orlando, Florida. The whole day is like a fairy tale, with the most gorgeous outdoor ceremony and totally magical outdoor reception. What a picturesque setting to hold a wedding! Everything is just perfect from the flowers to the decoration, to the location. Big thanks to Meche Ausina Photography for the gorgeous photos.

Wedding days are notoriously all about you as a couple! But there are ways to buck the trend and turn the wedding day around and incorporate some thoughtful ideas that will benefit others as well as celebrate your special day. Being Eco friendly, giving donations to charity and helping local food banks are all ways that you can give back during your wedding day. You can use these thoughtful ideas to support special causes throughout your festivities. Guests can give back to the causes you care about the most, which could make your big day even more special for you and your partner.
Your guests will have plenty of time to mingle while waiting for your ceremony and reception to begin, so place a donation box where they’ll hang out. A small note could explain where you’ll donate their cash and why the cause matters to you. Your venue coordinator can help you find the best place for this idea and even call attention to it while you’re busy during your wedding day.
Everyone should enjoy their favourite foods during your reception, but there will likely be leftovers. Talk with your caterers about donating extras to organizations that provide meals for those in need. Local non-profits can use your donations to help homeless people, those in low-income households and families who can’t afford groceries.
Wedding vendors aren’t always traditional businesses. Many are non-profit groups that use their profits to support a particular cause. Research and contact them about partnering with you for your wedding.
Your dessert caterer could pledge to improve employment opportunities for people with special needs or your bartending vendor could donate to local community-building organizations. Their portion of your wedding budget will assist numerous causes before your big day arrives.
Couples sometimes pick their wedding venue based on its history and what causes it currently helps. You could book a historical site that teaches your guests about its history during a tour before your wedding day.
Your venue could also be historically significant to a specific cause. If you get married in an older home that was the first domestic violence refuge in your state, the site may also take donations to support victims who come to their local shelters.
