We are heading off to Michigan today to a little town called Christmas (how cute is that!) for the Homemade Outdoor Wedding of Monica and Paul who were married on 14th July. It’s a lovely wedding full of gorgeous DIY details, wild flowers, handmade signs, all very natural and rustic….just as I like it! A massive thank you to Jennifer Tucker from Wren Photography for the wonderful submission. I am loving all the lovely bits of decoration but most of all that outdoor ceremony!
Jennifer has been kind enough to tell us more about the day…………
The quirky couple rented three gorgeous estates in the little town of Christmas, along the shores of Lake Superior. The couple filled their wedding with handmade touches like the corn hole games, location markers, and the ribbon hung in the reception tent. They also bought wildflowers from a local vendor and filled the tables and bouquets with incredible flowers. The bridesmaids all chose different dresses in shades of yellow. The groom and groomsmen purchased their ties on etsy.
Shortly after the ceremony there was a huge storm-lightning, rain, strong winds, everyone just gathered under the tent and waited out the storm. Dinner was served with fresh fried whitefish since the bride’s father is a fisherman. Their first dance was on the front lawn while the band played from the porch of the estate.

Love those cute gifts.
Great post. The food and beer list both looked great. That was a lot of nice craft beers on the list and I am sure the wines were too. It looks like a great wedding to attend. Outdoor weddings and receptions are the best.
Oh my goodness, I LOVE this wedding! This looks exactly like the one I’m planning! Colorful, relaxed, joyful! Congrats to the newlyweds :)
