Today’s wedding is a wonderful example of how a fusion wedding can work perfectly. Nick and Jomana were married on 24th September 2022 in a backyard ceremony for their downtown San Diego wedding. They worked tirelessly to incorporate both of their cultures together; Indian and Palestinian, and what a beautiful job they did. A mixture of saris, hip scarves and henna. The colours were muted and earth tones, with accents of mustard to add that pop of colour. The outdoor ceremony was personal, and intimate perfect for their back garden venue, keeping things simple, while honouring both of their cultures. Big thanks to Karen Agurto Photography for the lovely images.

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you have all had a great week? So who is getting married this weekend? There must be a fair few of you now we are heading into peak wedding season? If you are I hope you have a truly magical day and that the sun shines for you. It’s Dexter’s birthday next week so we are having his birthday party this weekend, so I am busy prepping for that today! 20 kids playing laser tag outside in a forest……wish me luck! However before any of that can happen I have this most delightful wedding to share with you today. Stephanie and Fraser were married on 29th January 2022 at Pangas beach club in Tamarindo, Costa Rica. They held a magical day, with soft, romantic bohemian details in muted earth tomes that went hand in hand with their beautiful beach ceremony. The day was planned to perfection by Mil Besos Costa Rica and photographed by Asha Bailey Photography.

Thanks to its practicality, more and more couples are now opting for a weddingmoon. It combines the wedding and honeymoon in one destination, saving couples time and money. One of the destinations that have become popular for weddingmoons is Sicily. It has beautiful beaches, delicious cuisine, rich culture, stunning landscapes, and everything else couples need to wed and embark on a honeymoon.
Here’s a guide to weddingmoons in Sicily.
You will have the best honeymoon experience in Sicily during the late spring (May to early June) or early fall (September to October). These periods enjoy pleasant weather, fewer crowds, and vibrant landscapes. In late spring, Sicily is in full bloom with colourful flowers and mild temperatures, ideal for exploring its stunning beaches, ancient ruins, and charming towns. The weather is warm enough for sunbathing and swimming yet cool enough for comfortable sightseeing.
Early fall is also an ideal time to visit Sicily. Since it’s the grape harvest season, fall is a fantastic time for wine enthusiasts to visit local vineyards and embark on wine tastings. The sea remains warm, and the island shines beautifully with the golden colours of the season.
During these times, you can enjoy romantic activities like strolling through the historic streets of Palermo and Taormina, hiking up Mount Etna, or relaxing on the pristine beaches of Cefalu and San Vito Lo Capo. You can also witness festivals like the Infiorata in May and harvest celebrations in September.

I am taking you to two beautiful destinations today. Firstly with this mornings real wedding we are off to Italy and then this afternoon in a Honeymoon special we visit Sicily! I have to say though today’s wedding is an absolute stunner! Tamara and Stanley were married from 19th – 24th April 2024 at Villa Marsi in Urbino Italy. They had 30 guests and it took 2 and half years to plan. Tamara and Stanley own their own rental company so they knew exactly what they wanted when it came to their own wedding decor. They managed to source and decorate it all themselves and what an amazing job they did , the whole day looks superb. The overall bohemian theme runs throughout from the stunning outdoor ceremony to the intimate, beautifully decorated and highly detailed outdoor reception. A wonderful day, full of boho inspiration. Big thanks to Eros Dangelo for capturing the day for us.

Planning a wedding is a thrilling journey full of surprises and excitement. But amidst the commotion, it’s easy to overlook the importance of early preparation. Procrastination can set you up for unnecessary stress and last-minute chaos that spoils not just your wedding day but the weeks of blissful engagement leading up to it.
Some tasks must wait until the final stretch, like finalizing the seating chart based on RSVPs or delivering welcome bags to the room block. But most wedding to-dos can and should be addressed long before your wedding week to ensure your big day unfolds seamlessly.
From securing your dream team to creating backup plans, here are eight things you don’t want to delay.
There’s no wedding without a venue and a team of professionals to bring it all together! Booking your venue and building your vendor team is one of the most critical aspects of wedding planning, and it’s best to prioritize this step as soon as possible.
“The wedding industry is filled with highly talented, creative people in small businesses,” says Vijay Goel of Bite Catering Couture. “The creative excellence that comes with it is balanced by the fact that many can only book one event on any given date.”
While the venue is often the most significant selection, consider all your key vendors. If you have specific wedding pros in mind, “make sure you book your favourites as soon as you have set the date,” Goel encourages.
It’s normal for wedding vendors to book 12-18 months in advance. Pushing this step off could mean missing out on your preferred choices, adding unnecessary stress to the planning process.
