Stephanie and Fraser’s Soft Bohemian Beach Wedding in Costa Rica by Asha Bailey Photography

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you have all had a great week? So who is getting married this weekend? There must be a fair few of you now we are heading into peak wedding season? If you are I hope you have a truly magical day and that the sun shines for you. It’s Dexter’s birthday next week so we are having his birthday party this weekend, so I am busy prepping for that today! 20 kids playing laser tag outside in a forest……wish me luck! However before any of that can happen I have this most delightful wedding to share with you today. Stephanie and Fraser were married on 29th January 2022 at Pangas beach club in Tamarindo, Costa Rica. They held a magical day, with soft, romantic bohemian details in muted earth tomes that went hand in hand with their beautiful beach ceremony. The day was planned to perfection by Mil Besos Costa Rica and photographed by Asha Bailey Photography.

Meghan the planner tells us more about the day

We are thrilled to share the story of Stephanie and Fraser’s breath-taking bohemian wedding in Tamarindo! Stephanie, a go-getter lawyer, and Fraser, a tech salesman, lead busy lives, especially since the shift to remote work post-Covid. With their vibrant group of friends and a love for outdoor adventures, they were seeking a destination wedding that captured their glamorous yet bohemian spirit. And what better place to celebrate their love than the picturesque paradise of Tamarindo, Costa Rica?

One of the most memorable aspects of their engagement story was Fraser’s surprise proposal at the Castello de Aragonese on the island of Ischia in Italy. The magical moment included a secret photographer capturing their joy. Stephanie was overjoyed, even though some may argue that after five years together, it was to be expected. Fraser humorously refers to marriage as “signing the contract to eternity.”

Their shared love for travel and wine tasting inspired several meaningful touches incorporated into their wedding. Having explored various destinations together, including Croatia, Spain, England, Scotland, Italy, and Mexico, they made sure to infuse their wanderlust spirit into every detail. Their fashion style leaned towards trendy and modern, reflecting their vibrant personalities. They wanted their special day to exude love and be filled with candlelit romance. Soft lighting, floral design, and candles were essential elements that helped bring their wedding vision to life.

When their wedding day arrived, Pangas Beach Club was the perfect venue to set the stage for an unforgettable celebration. The ethereal setting created the perfect ambiance for their gathering, surrounded by lush greenery and a touch of romance. The ceremony took place under the majestic trees, where Stephanie and Fraser exchanged their heartfelt vows.

The bride’s bouquet, adorned with ivory roses, delicate dried elements, and draping orchids, perfectly captured her romantic vision. A special touch that added to the ceremony was the officiant, who happened to be the aunt of the bride and groom. This personal connection deepened the emotional significance of their union.

To create a magical atmosphere for the reception, we adorned the venue with soft boho details. Rattan shelves displayed refreshing pipa drinks, while personalized tassel tags guided guests to their seats. A playful sign invited guests to find their “Coco” before the celebration got “Loco.” Later in the evening, the shelves transformed into a display of dancing shoes, labelled “Solemates,” ensuring everyone could dance the night away in comfort.

The dance floor took centre stage, with up lights illuminating the surrounding trees. The breath-taking views created the perfect romantic backdrop for the couple’s first dance as newlyweds. The combination of pampas and baby’s breath chandeliers hung over the dance floor, creating a captivating atmosphere. To top it all off, Stephanie and Fraser’s dream of fireworks came true. Explosions of light and colour filled the night sky, symbolizing the start of their incredible journey as a married couple.

The day after the ceremony, it was time to indulge in a delightful brunch for a final send off! The couple invited all their guests to their private villa in Playa Langosta, Casa Perla, for a casual send off brunch. It was a chance for everyone to come together, savour delicious food, and bid farewell to the newlyweds.
