Happy Friday everyone! I hope you have all had a wonderful week so far? I am so happy for the weekend, it’s been a busy old week here at Boho HQ, so I am ready for some time away form my desk. Saturday night it’s a Chinese takeaway and the Brits! Then Sunday we are meeting up with family and going to the National Space Centre, which should be a fab day out. Then next week it’s half term! On with today’s wedding and it’s a real cracker to finish off the week. Kayla and Jason were married on 3rd July 2021 in the Dominican Republic at Kukua Punta Cana they held a beautiful bohemian beach wedding that was dripping in boho decoration. From endless pampas grass to a plethora of macramé, this wedding is oozing Boho Luxe. The flowers, the ceremony arch, the floating cake table, Oh my!!! The list is endless. So much thought has gone into this wedding and so many amazing details, inspiration for days!!! As for the trash the dress shoot the day after!! WOW!! Well done to Kayla and Jason on creating such a magical day. Big thanks to Photo Cine Art for the lovely photos.

Today’s wedding is a great example that you don’t need loads of fuss and loads of details to have a great day. The main things you need are good friends, good company and a whole lot of love. Maggie and Emerson held a laid back farm wedding in the Leicester countryside. They wanted it to be as fuss free as possible and really got stuck in with the DIY aspects. They called in the help of their many creative friends who really got stuck in with pulling the whole day together. Their laid back, chilled attitude led to a wedding that was relaxed, un-stuffy and full of fun. Family friendly and filled with an abundance of love from everyone. Big thanks Sally Rose for capturing the day for us.
Maggie and Emerson were married on 23rd July 2022 at Leicester registry office then Scraptoft Hill Farm, Leicester. ‘It was a beautiful wildflower meadow on a farm. Nothing there – a blank canvas for us to do what we wanted. They had a campsite so friends and family could all stay onsite! We had approximately 160 guests, it took about 2 years to plan. We were supposed to get married in 2021 but COVID prevented that!’

Celebrating significant milestones and achievements like weddings and anniversaries is normal, but what about the small daily wins? Acknowledging the little wins along the way to big wins will help the appreciation for the larger ones more. Thinking about the growth it took to get there will open your eyes to how big the achievements are.
Keeping track of small wins helps boost confidence. No matter how small or if it relates to a bigger goal, the brain is wired to respond to rewards. Celebrating small successes leads to the completion of larger goals.
People who track small achievements every day have enhanced motivation. The neurotransmitter dopamine boosts your mood, motivation and attention. This signals the activity to be done repeatedly to keep receiving the mood-boosting chemicals. Chasing the feeling of accomplishment and pride will help those goals get reached, no matter how big or small.
Some people have trouble celebrating their small wins. Things like making the bed or packing a healthy lunch may not seem important enough to celebrate. When the perspective is changed, it can be seen as celebrating habits instead of achievements.
Praise the moments when good behaviour is shown and appreciate the person built through them. The little victories can quickly become demotivated when rushing from one task to the next.
The little wins can look different for each person. Something may be insignificant to someone but enormous to another person. Take the time to pause and feel good about each accomplishment or habit that has been acquired. Showing appreciation will continue to nourish all the wins in life.

Today I have a delightful terracotta wedding to share with you. This beautiful Berkshire barn wedding is a picture of autumnal colours, even if it did take place in May last year. The weather however was very autumnal with rain throughout pretty much most of the day, however it stopped long enough for some gorgeous portrait photos. Roxanne and Andrew created a lot of the wedding themselves making it super personal and full of character. They also made the whole day vegan, from the wedding breakfast to the wedding cake. Big thanks to Gregg Kmita Photography who was there to capture the day for us.
Roxanne and Andrew were married on 15th May 2022 at Ufton Court, Berkshire. ‘Not only was the location ideal with a barn and manor house with large grounds to match our theming but they are a charity so all profits go back to their charity work. We had 67 guests, we spent about a year and a half planning the wedding but I got a lot done in the first 12 months.’
