Love is in the air! But planning a wedding is no easy task. If you are looking for something unique and special, a boho wedding is the way to go. Boho weddings are known for their relaxed atmosphere and their emphasis on natural beauty. Whether you are looking for a rustic, outdoor setting or a chic, urban event, a boho wedding can be the perfect way to express your unique personality and style. Here is a guide on how to create the perfect boho wedding.
Choosing the right venue for your wedding is key. Look for venues that offer a relaxed atmosphere, and that also allows you to express your style. A barn, a garden, or a beach can all make for great boho wedding venues. Check out the venue in person to get a feel for the space and ensure it meets all of your needs!
Look for venues that have outdoor spaces you can use. This way, you can take advantage of the natural beauty of the outdoors and create a unique atmosphere. You can also use the outdoor space for activities like lawn games or photo booths. If you want to have an indoor wedding, look for venues with high ceilings and plenty of natural light. Consider venues that offer a large open space, such as an old warehouse or a converted barn. Make sure to book your venue early. – this way, you can ensure that you get the dates and times you want.

Happy Monday everyone and how are you all? How was your weekend? Was it full of snow or did you not get any? Well my weekend started on Thursday lunch time when Dexter got sent home from school early because of the snow. Friday we had a full on snow day, the sun shone, the sky was blue and it felt like we were on holiday, the kids had a ball! Saturday was igloo building and Sunday we managed to dig the car out and get out of Sheffield. So a pretty eventful weekend! I am hoping that’s the last of the snow, although we do have more forecast this week. As much as it was lovely, I think everyone will agree it’s time we saw spring now and got some warmer weather! Speaking of warmer weather, today I am taking you back to last summer with this stunning ‘Rustic Boho’ Wedding in Scotland. Samantha and Jamie waited an extra 2 years to get married due to Covid but this just gave them more time to plan the most perfect wedding and believe me the results are worth waiting for. They DIY’d so much of this wedding from the bridesmaid’s dresses to the place names, so much time and effort has gone into making this wedding super personal and full of the most gorgeous details and décor. Big thanks to Nicola Stewart Photography for the gorgeous images.
Samantha and Jamie were married on 17th July 2022 at Pittodrie House Hotel, Inverurie, Scotland. ‘We almost didn’t go and see Pittodrie House, because we’d felt so disheartened by the venues we’d already been to see. But we did go and the old world house, amazing staff and gorgeous grounds felt so right for us to share our day with our friends and family. We had 45 guests. We thought we’d planned it all within a year, booking our venue 23rd March 2019, ready to go by March 2020…but the world had other ideas, the UK went into lockdown and we suddenly had 2 more years to plan. Although the big things remained the same, the chance to make more decorations and build on our original ideas didn’t go to waste!’

Happy Friday everyone and what a week it’s been. It started off with my birthday which was lovely and normally sees the beginning of spring and now we are in a full blown winter blizzard! Who knew we could get THIS much snow!! What’s it like where you are? Here in Sheffield it hasn’t stopped since Wednesday afternoon! Dexter’s school shut yesterday and isn’t opening today, hopefully things will be a bit more back to normal by Monday. So today we are heading off to the park for a spot of sledging and snow person building! To warm you up a bit I am taking you back to last summer for this gorgeous Kent farm wedding. The wedding is super chilled and filled with rustic chic decoration, from the beautiful blooms to the naked wedding cake. Big thanks to Sandra Reddin for the lovely photos.
Hannah and Joshua were married on 30th July 2022 at Kent Life, Kent. ‘We loved that it was on a working farm and all of our guests would have lots to enjoy throughout the day. We didn’t want our wedding to be too formal and this ensured that we could have a chilled day surrounded by those that we love. We had 90 guests, it took 4 years to plan the wedding, (It should have been 3 but Covid got in the way)’
