Daniela & Christian’s Laid Back, Natural Wedding with a Ring-Bearing Dog. By Siegrid Cain

I have a gorgeous  wedding for you today from Austrian wedding photographer Siegrid Cain. I have featured Siegrid before with this amazing homemade 2 day wedding and it  is a delight to have her back on the blog with this equally beautiful Natural wedding. The wedding has so many lovely aspects from the outdoor ceremony to the ever so cute ring-bearing dog, to the bubble clown!

‘It was a very laid back, cool, fun day full of love and happiness.’

The dress
It was important to me to have a simple comfortable dress – originally I wanted to get married in a suit because I am not a very girly woman, but Christian begged me to get a dress.

The suit
the suit was Italian – very comfortable and cool, no tie or waistcoat

Theme or colour scheme
very simple, natural, elegant. olive-branches, fresh lavender, drift-wood and rope

Food
our menu included a delicious choice of alpine salmon roulades, steak and vegetarian potato pie. As a midnight-feast we had a finger-food buffet.

Entertainment
A DJ – our first dance-song was “Jump”

Flowers and Decoration
Olive-branches, fresh lavender, drift-wood and rope. All arranged in vintage glass bottles and other simple yet beautiful accessories that we also have in our shop

Personal / DIY touches
• Our invitations and menu-cards were all handmade by us.
• We engraved pieces of slate. we really wanted something unusual and different.
• We also organised all the decorations ourselves – we did have a little help with the flower arrangements though.
• The guest-favours were little handmade lavender-pralines.

Special moments
It started raining just before the ceremony and we decided to go ahead with it anyway. Everybody sat with their colourful umbrellas – that made the day even more special to us. Our gorgeous dog Indy was our ring-bearer and she did a great job too.

Advice
Go with your heart and plan it like you really want it. Don’t worry about what other people say.

I live in Austria, close to the beautiful city of Salzburg. it’s hard to describe my own work. I always work on making my pictures look natural, emotional, ethereal and sensual. But lots of factors come together on a wedding day and I am very flexible to work with what I get.

I nearly ran a mile at the mere mention of a clown (scarred for life!) but I’m glad I didnt, bubble clowns look well fun! Such a beautiful wedding and the dog ringbearer is just too cute for words!
