Krystal and Errol's Pretty Pastel Beach Side Thailand Wedding by Wedding Boutique Phuket

Krystal and Errol’s wedding was a beautiful celebration of love, friendship, and their shared love for Thailand. After first falling in love with the country during their 2022 trip, they returned to Phuket to celebrate their wedding with 55 of their closest family and friends at Rosewood Phuket, surrounded by the ocean, soft sunset-inspired tones, romantic florals, and boho-coastal details as their wish.
The couple wanted their guests to feel like they were part of a memorable holiday rather than simply attending a wedding. From the luxurious Thai buffet and champagne tower to the live band they had discovered during their first trip to Phuket, every element was chosen to reflect their personalities and shared experiences. It was a joyful, heartfelt destination wedding filled with beautiful details, great food, music, and the people they loved most. were married on 15th January 2025 at Rosewood Phuket in Thailand. ‘We’ve always wanted to visit Thailand, and we both love tropical places. We’re also big foodies and absolutely love Thai food, so we booked a trip there in 2022 and completely fell in love with it. We knew we wanted to get married somewhere that felt special and different, and Thailand just felt right. We also loved the idea of giving our family and friends a reason to travel, experience Thailand with us, and turn our wedding into a fun vacation for everyone. We had 55 guests and we took about a year to plan the wedding. We started planning in January 2024.’

How they met
We met through my cousin’s husband. They’re friends, and they invited both of us to an EDM show—TroyBoi, an artist from the UK that we both love. My cousin and her husband weren’t trying to set us up at all; they just invited us because we all wanted to enjoy the show. But we ended up really clicking, and we’ve been together ever since. Seven years now!

The Proposal.
We got engaged at the same artist’s show where we first met—TroyBoi—so it was such a full-circle moment. My husband planned the whole thing as a surprise and had all of our close friends show up at the show as a “coincidence.” I didn’t think anything of it and genuinely thought they were all just there because they loved TroyBoi too. As more and more of our friends kept showing up throughout the night, I remember thinking, ‘What a small world!’
Then, around 1 a.m. on the dance floor, all of our friends gathered around us and slowly formed a circle. That’s when my husband got down on one knee and proposed during the song “Do You Love Me?” I was completely shocked! It was such a fun and special memory, especially getting to celebrate with all of our closest friends right there with us. Definitely a night we’ll never forget!

How did you allocate your budget?
The two biggest priorities in our budget were the location and the food. We’re big foodies, so we wanted to make sure the venue we chose had delicious Thai food that our guests could really enjoy and experience, especially since many of them were traveling to Thailand for the first time. We loved the idea of having it served buffet-style so everyone could try a little bit of everything.
It just so happened that the place known for its food also had this beautiful oceanfront area where we could have the ceremony. As soon as I saw it, I fell in love with it and couldn’t picture our wedding anywhere else. I’ve always dreamed of having a wedding ceremony overlooking the ocean, so Rosewood Phuket ended up being the perfect place for us.

Where did you splurge and where did you save?
We definitely splurged on the food and drinks. As we’ve mentioned, we’re big foodies, and since our guests were traveling from out of the country, we really wanted to take care of them and make sure they had a great experience. We had a buffet, an open bar all night, and transportation so everyone could enjoy themselves without having to worry about how they were getting back to their hotels.
For savings, we skipped some of the traditional wedding extras that weren’t as important to us. We didn’t do party favors, and we decided to skip the wedding cake. Aside from that, we did pretty well staying within budget for everything else. We tracked everything on a spreadsheet, which really helped us stay organized and keep an eye on our spending.
We also hosted a Meet & Greet the night before the wedding so everyone could get together, have some good food and drinks, and spend time with each other before the big day. It was a great way to kick off the wedding weekend and get everyone excited for the celebration.

How did you choose your photographer?
We chose our photographer from a list of suppliers provided by our wedding team. We looked through their work and chose the one whose style felt the most like us. We wanted someone who would capture the day authentically and make the photos feel natural and true to who we are.

The dress
My dress was made by Casablanca Bridal purchased at Bridal Elegance Studio in Torrance, CA. My accessories were by Swarovski, and my engagement and wedding rings were by Brilliant Earth. For my shoes, I wore Jewel Badgley Mischka.

The suit and bridesmaids
The bridesmaids’ dresses were from Birdy Grey. The men’s suits were purchased from Suit & Tux Warehouse in Gardena, CA.

Theme or color scheme
Theme: Boho, Coastal, Romantic, Sunset.
Color scheme: Champagne, nude tan, dusty rose, peach, mauve, and lilac.
My favorite color is blush and my husband’s is purple, so I wanted to find a way to incorporate both into our wedding. I’ve also always dreamed of having a beachside, oceanfront wedding, so I thought soft pastel colors inspired by a sunset would tie everything together beautifully—and they did!
We added some boho accents and coastal details to bring the whole look together without taking away from the natural beauty of the ocean. Our wedding team really understood our vision and brought it to life even better than we imagined!

Flowers
We chose a romantic and soft floral palette of ivory, blush pink, dusty rose, and mauve. Our arrangements featured a beautiful mix of roses, including Quicksand roses, along with white Phalaenopsis orchids, white and pink Thai orchids, and pink Cymbidium orchids. We also added delicate peach-toned flowers such as stock, Ariadne butterfly flowers, or foxgloves, together with fountain grass, green Amaranthus, eucalyptus, and mixed greenery.
We wanted the flowers to feel soft, organic, and slightly whimsical, with a mix of full blooms and delicate textures that complemented the romantic coastal atmosphere of the wedding.

Decoration
Our décor was a mix of romantic, coastal, and boho-rustic elements, with blush pink, lilac, nude, and rose gold as the main colors. We incorporated natural details such as driftwood, shells, corals, and starfish throughout the ceremony and reception, combined with soft chiffon fabrics, rustic wood, and lots of candlelight.
The ceremony featured a gold loop altar draped in blush fabric and framed with florals, while the reception tables were styled with lilac runners, rose gold candleholders, tapered candles, driftwood, shells, and coral. We also added playful personal touches, including a tequila-shot seating chart, “message in a bottle” table numbers, scallop-shaped place cards, and special Bride & Groom oyster shells at our table.
We wanted everything to feel romantic and elegant, but not too formal with plenty of little details that reflected our personalities and our love for the seaside.

Food
We enjoyed a luxurious Thai buffet for our reception, with a beautiful selection of Thai dishes served throughout the evening. It was a wonderful way to offer our guests a variety of flavors while keeping the dining experience relaxed and enjoyable.

Wedding cake
Instead of a traditional wedding cake, we went with a champagne tower. The tower added a glamorous touch to the reception and became one of the evening’s standout details. Additionally we had a delicious DESSERT BAR designed to match our wedding theme.

Entertainment
We booked a trio rock band called The Gypsy Sun from a restaurant/lounge called Papazula in Old Town Phuket. We had seen them a few times during our 2022 trip and absolutely loved them. We knew right away that we wanted them to play at our wedding, so we asked our wedding team if they could reach out and see if they were available.
Our family loves that type of music too, so we thought it would be a fun way to bring something we all enjoyed into the wedding. They were such a hit! Our family couldn’t stop talking about them, and we were so happy we got to have them be part of our day.

Who supplied the stationery?
I designed the save-the-dates and wedding invitations myself using Canva. The vows card and scallops place cards with calligraphy names were supplied by Wedding Boutique Phuket graphic designer

Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We were originally planning to do a big Europe trip the following year for our honeymoon, but we ended up getting pregnant right away! So, in a way, we got a little honeymoon surprise of our own. Our baby is actually a Thailand baby from our wedding trip, which makes Thailand even more special to us.

Personal touches
Or things that you did yourself? Aside from designing our save-the-dates and wedding invitations, I also made an “open bar” sign featuring our two Maltipoos that said, “Drinks on Us.” It was our little way of including them in the wedding since they couldn’t be there with us.
We also decided to skip the traditional bouquet toss and make it a little more fun and interactive. We played musical chairs with the ladies, and the last person sitting won the bouquet. It ended up being such a hit!

Special moments
Honestly, the whole day was a highlight. Seeing almost all of our closest friends and family there, especially the people who had never traveled outside the country before, was really special. Getting ready with our friends and family was another favorite part of the day. We took so many photos, but looking back, those moments gave us little pockets of time to slow down and actually take in what was happening and create memories we’ll always have. The food was amazing, the band was incredible, and honestly, everything came together so perfectly. It’s hard to pick just one moment because the entire day felt like one big highlight.

Advice for other couples
The stress is worth it, and in a weird way, I think the whole process can bring you closer as a couple. But my biggest advice is to try not to stress too much and remember that at the end of the day, it’s your day and it’s about celebrating your love. Keeping that as your North Star really helps put everything into perspective when things start to feel overwhelming.

Biggest surprise of the day
Haha, honestly, the biggest surprise was that everyone made it on time! With a Filipino and Mexican family, we weren’t exactly sure how that was going to go. But somehow, everyone showed up on time and ready to celebrate! I was also pleasantly surprised by how many people actually followed the dress code and showed up in pastel colors. Seeing everyone dressed in the theme made the whole wedding look so beautiful!
