Candice and Ben’s 70’s Inspired Homespun Farm Wedding by Christina Louise Photography

Well hello Monday! And how are we all today? I hope you had a good weekend? Mine was wonderful. I went for a meal with some friends on Friday night, Saturday I went to the ballet with my best friend and then Sunday I went to watch my son Dexter in a show put on by his Stage school, which was AMAZING! I’m a very proud mum right now! So out 3 nights on the bounce! What a weekend! So I am welcoming you back to the blog with the gorgeous wedding of Candice and Ben who were married on 1st October 2022 in Oakland, Oregon. They held a chilled and fun farm wedding and filled it full of rustic 70’s inspired detailing and decoration, a lot of which was put together by the bride herself. A superb looking day filled to the brim with the most wonderful autumn wedding inspiration. Big thanks to Christina Louise Photography LLC for the beautiful photos.

Christina the photographer tells us more

Ben and Candice were married in Oakland, Oregon on a small farm owned by close friends. Candice described this venue as the perfect location, straight out of a woodland fairy story, where all of her visions for her ceremony and reception would come to life. Inspired by the 70’s era colour trends, the reception tables were adorned with rust-coloured table runners and greenery, mismatched candlesticks and coloured vases, and floral china. Orange and yellow paper lanterns, twinkle lights, and miniature mirror balls hung over the reception tables and dance floor, illuminating the evening with a soft warm glow after the sun had set.  Many friends and family members gathered to support and cheer the newlyweds, and enjoyed a gyro bar, cold sides, fresh fruits, tea, soft drinks, champagne, and lavender lemonade. The amount of love felt throughout this day was inspiring and amazing, and it truly was the kind of wedding that every bride dreams of having!
