Photographers Photos – A Show and tell with Juliet McKee

It’s Show and Tell time again and today I’d like to introduce you to Juliet McKee a lovely lady who takes beautiful photos. I have asked Juliet to tell us a bit more about herself and her work, so I will hand the blog over to her.

 ‘I record the colours and emotions of a wedding day’

An Introduction
I have been fascinated by photography from a very young age (Father Christmas brought me a Haminex 110 complete with a box of flash cubes when I was 8). My love of photography continued over the years and then 4 years ago I had a eureka moment and made the huge leap from my then career delivering babies into the world of photography. I now live and breathe weddings and feel so privileged not just to be in a job I find so creatively fulfilling, but to be able to record such a momentous occasion for couples.

 My style
I describe myself as a creative reportage photographer and have a vibrant contemporary feminine style. I like to record a wedding with plenty of unobtrusive candid shots, some loosely directed shots, and a selection of gorgeous detail shots. I want my brides to remember exactly what colour the petals in their bouquet were and exactly how they felt throughout the day!
I feel it’s really important to get to know my couples so I always offer a complementary engagement shoot, it’s a great time to have fun and getting used to being in front of the lens. The time spent getting to know each other makes all the difference and really shows when I am able to capture relaxed, spontaneous and sometimes humorous images.

The details
I am based in Camberley Surrey and cover the south of England as well as further afield.
I am happy to work alone but I often shoot with an assistant. It depends on a couple’s requirements.
My prices start at £1600 for a disc package. I don’t count the hours and cover bridal preparation through to shortly after the first dance.
