As we reach the midpoint of the week, I have a gorgeous rustic barn wedding for you, courtesy of Kirsty from This and That Photography. Kirsty is a regular to the blog so I always love featuring her work and this wedding is a real cracker. Joanna and Lucas worked to a budget but with so much of their wedding as massive DIY projects it is full to the brim with amazing details, decorations and so many cute offerings. Joanna’s mum not only made the bridesmaids dresses but the cake and the bunting! Joanna designed the stationery, their friend DJ’d, and they created a whole load of amazing decoration between them. A truly personal handmade wedding that I know you are going to love.
Joanna and Lucas were married on 16th September 2017 at St Margaret Mary R.C. Church with the reception at The Gilbert White Barn in Selborne. ‘The church is my (Joanna) local church up the road from where we live and as a catholic I have always wanted to have a catholic wedding, Lucas kindly agreed as he knew this was really important to me. The barn we found when we were looking at wedding venues in the area, as it was not too far away we thought would make the perfect setting for our reception. we had 125 guests and we spent 9 months planning our wedding.’

Today I have a wedding that is super stylish and elegant and comes from Long Island in New York. Jackie and Chris were married on 29th April at The Foundry in Long Island City. The wedding is a great mixture of DIY, elegant sophistication and modern touches. Both Chris and Jackie took a very hands on approach to the planning and on the day organisation, pitching in with friends and family to get the venue ready and looking amazing. The fresh greenery worked so well with the crisp white table clothes and added a super modern and clean look to the decoration. Mix in a delicious BBQ for that traditional Texan flavour to honour Jackie’s hometown. Big thanks to Danila Mendikov for the images and Bespoke Moments for the submission.

Happy Monday everyone, I do hope you have had a lovely weekend? If you are a mum then I wish you a belated Happy Mothers day and if not I hope you managed to spread some love to your own mother. I had a lovely weekend. Saturday was spent with 2 old friends eating, drinking and having a wonderful catch up. Sunday was sent with my gorgeous son and Husband as a family, celebrating mothers day. We are starting off the week with this super sweet festival themed wedding from West Sussex. It’s the wedding of Caroline and Richard who wanted their wedding to be laid back, filled with Boho elements and a festival theme. I’m sure you will agree that’s just what they did. It’s filled to the brim with relaxed styling, lots of beautiful blooms, the most gorgeous Claire Petibone gown, flower crowns, lawn games and the most stunning barn venue. Big thanks to Paula Gillespies for capturing it so perfectly.
Caroline and Richard were married on 19th August 2017 at the Yoghurt rooms in East Grinstead in West Sussex. ‘We wanted our day to be like a mini festival and we loved the idea of having a space where guests could camp. The Barn at the yoghurt rooms is legally registered for ceremonys and meant we could marry, celebrate and sleep all in the same place, which ultimately meant more time to spend with our loved ones. We had 180 guests and it took 18 months to plan.’

This afternoon we are meeting up with the lovely Becky, the blogs very own London reporter as she shares with us all what she has been up to on the blogs behalf. This time it seems to be all about the food. I have to admit I was pretty jealous that I couldn’t make either of these events when Becky sent me the photos though. I knew I’d missed a couple of great nights. So if you are a foodie and looking for some inspiration for your wedding catering then stay tuned as Becky has everything you need to know about two fabulous catering companies in London doing amazing things!
I have been so spoilt recently and been to two stunning wedding dining events. Both unique, both had amazing food, both completely different experiences.
My first soirée was an event hosted by Bubble Food. Bubble Food create bespoke, creative and luxurious events for any occasion so it makes perfect sense they have now officially launched Bubble Weddings.
The experience started right from the invite box they sent. Bubble Weddings are all about creating a tailored, spectacular and highly memorable wedding and they can provide just the food or offer the full planning service.
They launched Bubble Weddings at the exquisite Banqueting House in Whitehall. An absolutely stunning venue. From the start I got a sense of what Bubble Weddings are all about. The canapés were fun. Little fish and chips on personalised edible ‘newspaper’. Little pizzas presented in a large pizza box. But it’s not all style over substance. It was delicious as well.
