What happens when you and your guests all live in different parts of the world? You find somewhere in the middle and get married there! Today’s wedding takes place in Marrakech for that reason. Bree and Billy decided on their Moroccan Wedding as it was an ‘equal inconvenience opportunity’ And a great excuse to get all their most loved friends and family together in one place. Having featured Moroccan weddings on the blog before they always come with such style and grace and such an amazing backdrop! Maria Rão Photography. has captured this stunning day in style, with the beautiful flowers, the gorgeous architecture, the colours, the sunshine! All exquisite!
Bree and Billy were married on 16 September 2022 with the Wedding and Reception at La Mamounia in Marrakesh, Morocco. ‘Coming from different continents, and both of us having friends and family across Europe, Asia, Australia and the USA, we wanted to hold our wedding somewhere that everyone would need to fly to. In other words, equal inconvenience opportunity?! We loved the exceptional cultural, travel and adventure opportunities of Marrakech and Morocco, and were excited to give people a reason to come and explore this spectacular part of the world! We chose La Mamounia hotel- chic, fabled, romantic and luxurious. It could provide everything we needed, and all the guests were able to stay onsite. We had 130 guests, we started talking to wedding planners around April 2021, so almost 18 months planning from start to end’

Yesterday I brought you a stunning backyard English wedding and today I am bringing you another one! Oh how I spoil you! Today it is the turn of Saz and Tom who held their wedding ceremony and reception in the field behind Saz’s family home. It held a special place in her heart as she spent much of her childhood playing in the field with her family! The day was full of summer magic, colour, love and a big festival vibe. Totally Boho and totally relaxed, like any festival wedding would be. They filled their day with lots of DIY, handmade projects, which gave the day an even more personal feel, lots of fun games and the most amazing big red bus bar! Which really took the festival theme up a notch. What a wonderful day had by all! Big thanks to Moon Gazey Hare for the fab photos.
Saz and Tom were married on 23rd July 2022 at Saz’s family’s back yard in Steeple Ashton, Wiltshire. ‘This is where Saz grew up. Saz’s family home backs on to the field we had the ceremony and party in, so naturally, Saz and her family are very connected to the space and it holds a tonne of special memories. We always wanted for the wedding to be personal and intimate, inviting our closest pals to meet our most favourite people in a space that felt fuss free and natural. Saz grew up chasing her siblings around the field and even helped her Dad plant the gorgeous orchard. Guests arrived and drank in the orchard and by the Beer Bus, then moved to the ‘Big tree’ where the ceremony was. We had blankets (crocheted by family) covering hay bales and got married underneath a big disco ball hanging from the tree. Our best mate from Australia was our celebrant and our great pals from ‘Holiday’ sang two songs at the ceremony. We had 120ish guests and it took a nice slow 2 years to plan.’

Happy Monday everyone, and how are you this fine, hopefully sunny Monday morning? Here in Sheffield it’s the first week of the Easter holidays. We started the holidays off in style with a trip to Yorkshire Wildlife Park yesterday, which was so much fun. We walked for miles, saw lots of the animals and enjoyed the first of the spring sunshine! Long may it last! This week I am at work before I take the following week off for a trip to Cornwall! So on with today’s wedding and it’s the stunning wedding of Felicity and Michael who were lucky enough to hold their wedding at home, and get married in Michael’s parents’ beautiful garden in Cheshire. With a gorgeous outdoor ceremony, followed by a big old marquee reception, this wedding is filled with the most amazing autumn decoration, festival themed styling and so many smiles. Big thanks to Shane Webber Photography for capturing it for us.
Felicity and Michael were married on 24th September 2022. ‘We got married at my dad and his partners house because we thought a home wedding would be more intimate and have a more relaxed feel. It helped that their gardens are beautiful and rather large and could host that many people! It is also where Mike (husband) proposed to me so it felt special to continue that feeling there. We had 150 guests. I started to look and plan certain things about 15 months in advance. For example; the dress, photographer and band were important things we wanted to book early because of covid and delays. I was really grateful that early planning Felicity had started booking and sorting some things in advance so when it got closer to the time I felt really organised!’

Happy Friday everyone! Am I glad its Friday! It’s the end of term here in Sheffield so the Easter holidays start here! I’m excited for no school run for a couple of weeks and Easter themed day trips planned here and there. The 2nd week of the holiday we are off to Cornwall, which I am excited about! But enough of all that I have the most delightful wedding to share with you today. Preston Court, where today’s wedding takes place, is quite possibly my favourite wedding venue in the UK. I’ve said it before and I really can’t think of anywhere I like more! A beautiful area for an outdoor wedding, that is actually licenced! A big barn reception area with the most ornate decoration and it’s own carousel! What’s not to love!!! Tammy and David fell in love with Preston Court when they first went to view it and the rest is history. They held their stunning, colour filled, fun fair themed wedding and hired in Paul Fuller to capture the day for them and what day it was! Full of fun, smiles and so much happiness.
Tammy and David were married on 10th September 2022, with the ceremony Preston Court in Kent. ‘Preston Court was the only venue that we visited when we started to plan our wedding and we fell in love with it straight away. This beautiful location had so many different areas it allowed us to plan our day so that guests could move from the ceremony to the barnyard and have all the ‘fun of the fair’ with the magnificent carousel available to ride on. We also loved that our guests could camp on site in the beautiful glamping tents available on-site. For the Day we had 70 guests and for the evening we had an extra 50, so 120 in total. We started planning the wedding from the day we booked the venue in August 2021, so probably a year in total to plan.’

Before you can get married, there’s the question of the engagement to answer, and the thing that every couple needs to think about is which engagement ring is the right fit, both figuratively and literally.
Uniqueness of design is often high on the agenda for people shopping for engagement rings, as you want to be a bit different with your decision, especially if you’re at that stage of life where everyone you know seems to be popping the question left, right and centre.
The trick is to know how to find a ring that is both one of a kind, and also in keeping with your own senses of style and taste. Here’s how you can do this without wasting time on any wild goose chases or unhelpful avenues of ring research.
It’s essential that your engagement ring reflects your personal style. But how do you decide on a design? A lot of us don’t really appreciate what makes us special in this way, so it’s a good exercise in discovering more about yourself, as much as anything else. Only then can you dive in and decide to buy your pear shape engagement ring from a reputable retailer, or pick from lots of other designs and configurations available today.
Start by thinking about what makes you unique and cut from a different cloth. Consider which colors, shapes, and styles speak to who you are as an individual. This will help narrow down the selection of rings available.
Take some time for introspection. Ask yourself questions like “What’s my favourite colour?” or “What type of jewelry do I usually wear?”. The answers might be obvious, but they’ll provide a good foundation for the rest of your search.
Also think about what kind of activities or hobbies bring joy into your life, as these can provide insight into choosing something special for yourself. Once you have identified certain elements that represent the real “you,” it’ll be much easier to find an engagement ring with meaning behind it.
