Todays wedding comes all the way from Arizona and is set amongst some amazing scenery, I’m hoping it may bring a bit of sunshine into what has been a rather wet and miserable week! It was sent into me by New York Photographer Ani Berberian from Berberian Weddings
It’s the wedding of Rachel and James who were married on 25th June at Verde Valley, In Arizona With 120 guests. They describe their day as ‘Our wedding was a lot of fun and collaborative work amongst family and friends. But it made it all the more special when it all came together on our wedding day.’
How did they met
We have been together for 5 years; we met while looking at a room to sublet
The proposal
proposed at the Shake Shack in Manhattan, where we’d had our first meal together. He gave me a napkin and the ring was in it.
The Dress
Morgan Le Fay dress, grandmother’s earrings and Prada shoes
The suit
Jussara Lee suit
Food
farm fresh food catered by Whoa Nelly! out of Los Angeles. Great food was one of our highest priorities and it was really amazing.
Entertainment
Cowboy band – Red Rock Country Band
Flowers
My step-mom used to be a florist, so she and dad picked up local flowers and made all the arrangements. Dad made the bouquet for me, his first bouquet ever but looked really good. jewel-toned flowers
Decoration
candles, overhead strung lights, hand-made signs and name boards etc.
Personal touches
We did a lot of it. decorations, seating chart, table numbers, invitations designed by our friend and hand-lettered by the bride, flowers by family.
Special moments
The moment before the ceremony was really special, so charged and a bit anxious, but really exciting and vivid memory going up to the chapel and waiting to start.
Advice
Take a couple days to unwind after the wedding before the honeymoon. We did and it was needed.
Biggest surprise
The whole wedding is so much more than that one day, The days leading up to the wedding day and the days after were just as special, time to spend with family, friends and as a newly married couple.
