Gracie and Tim’s Colourful ‘Desert Disco’ Arizona Wedding by Craig Peterman Photography & Video

I do love a splash of colour in a wedding, so when I saw the bridal party in today’s wedding I was super excited! Gracie and Tim were married on 16th November 2024 at the Oasis at Wild Horse Ranch in Tucson, Arizona. They held a romantic ceremony with the desert as their backdrop, where they were joined by their super cute pet dog. This was followed by a disco filled party where Gracie changed into the most fabulous sequin jumpsuit with silver fringed jacket and danced the night away. I love the pops of colour in this wedding and of course the disco ball decoration. Big thanks to Craig Peterman Photography & Video  for capturing the day for us.

Tim was the doctor on call the day Gracie suffered a bad hand injury that required stitches — a meet-cute straight out of a movie. Since that day, Gracie reflects that her scar is a reminder of when she met Tim and that the only way an engagement ring would ever look right on her hand was if it also came from him. They got engaged at their favourite park in Columbus, Ohio, during a casual walk. Tim had hired a saxophonist, a nod to their first date when Gracie had joked, “Did you hire this saxophonist to propose to me?” Three years later, it turned out he finally did.

Gracie and Tim coined their wedding day a “desert disco,” where electrifying colours and the rustic ranch setting perfectly embodied this kitschy and energetic celebration. The Oasis at Wild Horse Ranch perched high above Tucson, Arizona, provided a stunning backdrop of vantage points. Golden rugs formed a runner down the wedding aisle, leading to a simple wooden altar framed by towering cacti and a softly purple-hazed mountain sky. Gracie wore a minimalist silk gown by Grace Loves Lace, paired with a sparkling gold-crystal veil. As the evening chill set in, she wrapped herself in a fur stole. Later, Gracie slipped into a sequined catsuit and a sparkling silver-fringed jacket to embrace the dance party vibe. Tim wore a fully customized linen suit, complemented by a personalized bolo tie featuring a photo of the couple and their dog. Much of the day embraced the rustic desert landscape, with floral arrangements in soft ivories, while bold, electric colours added energetic pops throughout. Bridesmaids wore every shade of pink, from blush to hot magentas, while groomsmen donned rusty orange suits. Knowing the evening would be chilly, Gracie thoughtfully provided personalized scarves, which quickly became a hit among guests. Kitschy signage in retro fonts added playful charm, including an oversized poster depicting their love story. The escort card table was made of multi-coloured disco balls, and plenty of props were available for guests — disco glasses and glow sticks to fuel a lively dance party under the stars.
