Today we are heading over to Nashville for this beautiful boho inspired wedding. Kurstan and Grant were married on 12th October 2024 at The Cedars at Carr Farms just outside Nashville. It beautifully blends rustic and boho elements, with the design featuring lots of pampas grass, dried florals, and white roses, creating an ethereal atmosphere enhanced by vintage whiskey barrels and velvet blue linens. The whole day is full of so much fun and laughter, despite the bride having a broken leg, Kurstan bravely soldiered on though and the day went on without a hitch. Big thanks to Sara Grace Photography for the lovely images.
When love blooms on the family farm, there’s no better place to celebrate it. For Kurstan and Grant, their rustic-meets-boho wedding was a reminder to embrace both the unexpected and the authentically beautiful. The couple chose the picturesque Cedars at Carr Farms as the backdrop for both their ceremony and reception, where the venue’s natural charm perfectly complemented their vision for a dreamy celebration. What began with a friend’s introduction blossomed into a romance that felt meant to be. Grant chose to propose in true countryside fashion during a horseback ride on their family farm.
A Celebration of Resilience and Style
Their wedding day showcased an innovative blend of rustic charm and boho elegance, orchestrated by wedding planner Beth Humphreys. The decor featured abundant pampas grass arrangements by Florals by Rachael, creating an ethereal atmosphere, while vintage whiskey barrels and velvet blue linens from PSR Events added depth and texture to the space.
Kurstan was a vision in her Madilane gown from Lavender Park Bridal, while Grant donned a dashing suit from Briggs Clothier. The bridal party’s look was perfectly coordinated, with bridesmaids in elegant blue dresses that complemented the wedding’s colour palette. What made their celebration truly unique was how they handled an unexpected challenge…Kurstan’s broken leg. Rather than letting it dampen their spirits, the couple turned it into a memorable aspect of their day. “I decorated my medical boot, and when it came time for the reception, the entire bridal party changed into matching Nike Dunks to match my footwear,” Kurstan shares. It became an amazing symbol of how love and joy can transform any situation.
Thoughtful Details and Personal Touches
Sara Grace Photography captured every meaningful moment, while 98 Films ensured no detail went undocumented on film. The couple created an intimate atmosphere with a carefully curated mix of dried florals, white roses, and pampas grass. “I wanted something different,” explains Kurstan. “I knew a wedding could be beautiful without a ton of florals, and the result was absolutely dreamy.”
A sophisticated cigar lounge featuring custom monogrammed cigars offered guests a unique entertainment space, complete with flickering candles and a vintage green sofa. The celebration continued with DJ Who keeping the dance floor packed, while bartender Logan Turner crafted memorable cocktails for the guests.
A Feast to Remember
Red Top BBQ catered a Southern feast that perfectly matched the evening’s relaxed elegance. Guests enjoyed pulled chicken and pork, accompanied by beloved sides like hash brown casserole and broccoli rice casserole, embodying the warm, inviting atmosphere of a Southern gathering.
Sweet Endings
The Farmhouse Cakery created a stunning duo of cakes that reflected their personalities perfectly. The wedding cake featured innovative flavors of strawberry cheesecake and raspberry lemonade, while the groom’s cake, a red velvet creation with cream cheese frosting, became an instant hit with guests. The dessert offerings were made even more special with additions from Chrissy’s Cake Pop Shop and Chelsey’s Cookie Jar, providing guests with an array of sweet treats to enjoy.
Words of Wisdom
Looking back on their perfect day, Kurstan shares, “It was the definition of perfect. I wouldn’t have changed a thing and I wish I could relive it over and over. Every vendor played a tremendous role in making it perfect.” For couples planning their own celebrations, she offers a practical tip: “Consider doing separate RSVPs for your ceremony and reception. It’s a great way to manage your guest count and budget effectively.”
This enchanting celebration at The Cedars at Carr Farms proved that with the right blend of personal touches, resilient spirits, and thoughtful details, a wedding can be both uniquely beautiful and authentically true to the couple’s story. Kurstan and Grant’s day was a pure celebration of their love, filled with joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories that will be cherished for years to come.
