Camilla and Jonathan's Boho Beach Wedding in Thailand by Pik Pongpol and Wedding Boutique Phuket

I am taking you back to Thailand today for the stunning wedding of Camilla and Jonathan who were married on 15th November 2024 at THE SURIN, Phuket in Thailand. They had 38 guests and it took 1 year to plan. For Camilla and Jonathan, their wedding was all about creating an intimate celebration that felt relaxed, personal and full of experiences they could share with the people closest to them. They chose the beautiful Surin Phuket for their destination wedding, bringing together just 38 guests for a tropical celebration by the sea. After a year of planning, their vision came to life through a romantic mix of boho, coastal and rustic details, with warm natural textures and a soft sunset-inspired palette.
Rather than following every wedding tradition, Camilla and Jonathan focused on what mattered most to them: good food, music and having an unforgettable time together. Their guests enjoyed a Thai dinner, live music during the ceremony and cocktail hour, followed by a surprise fire show that kicked off a night of celebration. Even the traditional wedding cake was skipped in favour of investing in entertainment and experiences — perfectly reflecting the easy-going spirit of their day. How did you choose your photographer?
Our photographer, Pik, was recommended by our wedding planner, Wedding Boutique Phuket and we couldn’t have been happier with him!

Theme or colour scheme
Theme: Boho, Coastal, Rustic, Tropical.
Colour scheme: Ivory, peach nude, sage green, burnt orange, powder blues.
We wanted our wedding to have a relaxed and romantic feel, combining boho, coastal, rustic, and tropical elements. For the colour palette, we chose soft ivory, peachy nude, sage green, and burnt orange, with subtle touches of powder blue to bring in a fresh coastal feel.

Flowers
Our flowers featured a beautiful combination of champagne, nude, and toffee roses, complemented by tropical rust-orange cymbidium orchids and white Phalaenopsis orchids, along with peach anthuriums and orange mums. We added willow eucalyptus, ruscus, dusty miller, and a touch of pampas grass, and bunny tails for a more organic and textured look.

Decoration
Our vision was to create a relaxed boho-coastal atmosphere with rustic and tropical touches, while keeping everything warm, natural, and effortlessly elegant.
Natural textures played a big part in the décor, from driftwood, bamboo and rattan, to fresh greenery and organic floral arrangements filled with big, open blooms in soft nude shades. Copper and amber accents brought a touch of warmth and complemented the natural surroundings.
For the reception, we layered rattan placemats, terracotta napkins, dusty blue runners, blue goblet glasses, candles, and a mix of copper, amber, and blue vessels across the tables. Bamboo poles wrapped with warm string lights transformed the cocktail area into a cozy, intimate space as the evening unfolded.
We also incorporated personal touches throughout, including our unplugged ceremony sign, Polaroid sign, and custom welcome and seating display. In the end, we wanted the décor to feel natural and unforced, with a mix of textures, colors, and little details that made the celebration feel uniquely ours.

Food
Since we were celebrating our destination wedding in Thailand, we wanted to share a taste of the country with our guests. We chose a Thai set menu so everyone could experience and enjoy some of the wonderful flavours and traditional dishes that make Thai cuisine so special.

Entertainment
We chose to have live music throughout our ceremony and cocktail hour to create a relaxed and joyful atmosphere. After dinner, we surprised our guests with a fire dance performance, which was such a fun and memorable highlight that really kicked off the party!

Personal touches
We paid special attention to the details of our bridesmaids’ and groomsmen’s attire, including their accessories. We wanted their looks to feel coordinated with the overall wedding style while also making each of them feel special and part of the celebration.
