Robyn and Gabriel's Gorgeous Earth Toned Barn Wedding in Oregon by KMT Photos

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you have that Friday feeling as I certainly do! Nik, Dexter and I are off to Camp Bestival for the weekend, we are on our way as we speak and will be full of festival fun before we know it! 3 days of music, entertainment, comedy, art, circus performances and so much more, I just hope the weather stays dry for us all! So on with today’s gorgeous barn wedding. Robyn and Gabriel were married on 3rd September 2022 in Scappoose, Oregon. the whole day is full or warmth, both in the beautiful colour palatte and the love surrounding this gorgeous couple. The ceremony is full of emotion, both tears and laughter and the barn reception is full of joy and so much fun. I love the earth toned colour scheme, the rich colours and the wonderful decoration. Here is the couple’s love story:

“Gabriel and I first met in our middle school math class. By the time we got to High School, we finally started dating. Pretty quickly we realized how much our relationship meant to us and that we had more than just a high school fling. Since I am a year younger than him, I decided to graduate high school a year early so I could graduate with him. Once we graduated, we packed up and moved from our small town of Scappoose, to Bend Oregon.

We are both big dog people. So, we obviously adopted a dog asap. We added our sweet fur baby, named Ellie, to our little family. Then, we started attending the local community college to pursue a degree in nursing. Luckily, we both got accepted into the nursing program. We started the program in the fall of 2020.

In March, over our spring break, Gabriel decided to surprise me with a trip to Colorado. On said trip, he planned a snow shoeing date to the top of a mountain in Estes Park Colorado. And that is where he got down on one knee and proposed. Since then, we have been busy finishing our first year of nursing school and trying to plan a wedding!”

I remember after photographing this wedding I immediately went home and saved some images for planning my own wedding. From the stunning earth-toned florals, to the neutral coloured wedding party attire, it was an absolute dream.

Their wedding day was beautiful, full of so much joy and a great party at their reception. The week of the wedding the couple received some heart breaking news – the bride’s brother and sister-in-law were sick with COVID. Originally the plan was to have her brother officiate their wedding. The bride’s dad stepped in and did a wonderful job. Robyn’s brother and sister in law both came to the wedding to watch the ceremony from afar, masked, and share a private moment with the couple afterwards.

This wedding venue is tucked away in Scappoose, OR and is a hidden gem – it has everything you could want if you are dreaming of an outdoor wedding. The barn is spacious, the property is large with both a lake and forest area with string lights. It was the perfect day!
