Happy Wednesday everyone and well done for getting to the middle of he week, only a few more days till the weekend! If you are juggling work and child care over the summer holidays or planning your wedding for the oncoming weeks, can we all do a little sun dance and chase all this blooming rain away! If you are planning an outdoor wedding anywhere in the UK then I feel your pain, I’m sure things will brighten up soon! Somewhere it isn’t raining is Kentucky, where todays gorgeous wedding takes place. Daniel and Leslee opted for an outdoor ceremony with a classic theme mixed with a Boho twist. They went for soft neutrals of creams and browns and the results are gorgeous. Thanks to Katie Micha Photography for the lovely photos.

Daniel and Leslee were married on 24th June 2023 at Hemlock Springs, Red River Gorge in Kentucky. ‘We wanted an outdoor/barn type of wedding and Hemlock Springs stole our hearts. The ceremony was outside, and the reception was inside the barn area, so it was perfect for us. It is a breath-taking place and pictures truly don’t do it justice! We had 100 guests and it took 6 months to plan.’

How they met
We both work in the medical field and oddly enough we met in the operating room. We have been together for 3 years now.

The proposal
While admiring the Christmas lights in Ashland, Kentucky, the engagement was sealed. Because my grandmother used to take my twin sister and I there to watch the Christmas lights several years before she passed away, the park in Ashland has a special place in my heart. I hadn’t been since she passed away in 2010, so I was ecstatic when Dan proposed to me while on one knee.

How did you choose your photographer?
I followed her on social media and was blown away by her pictures, she does such a phenomenal job.

The dress
Dress was Martina Liana, shoes were from Lulus and earrings were from amazon.

The suit and bridesmaids
Suits were from Geno’s. Bridesmaids were from Birdy Grey and junior bridesmaids were from Azazie.

Theme or colour scheme
Our theme was a boho them. We chose to do creams, whites, greenery, and golds.

Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We went to Anna Maria Island, Florida

Special moments
Dan and I getting time to ourselves after the ceremony as first-time husband and wife.

Advice for other couples
Find a wedding planner and a venue that does EVERYTHING, so much stress is taking off you. There will be times that you two want to strangle each other, but if you work together as a team you will get through it.
