Today we are taking you across to the states for this rustic filled wedding in Wisconsin. Maggie and Ryan were married on the 18th June 2016 at Trimborn Farms, Wisconsin, in a gorgeous barn venue that let them hold their lovely ceremony outside, while moving things indoors to the barn for the reception. The location is perfectly rustic and they added to this with plenty of DIY projects that they put together with the help of their friends and family. A perfectly rustic day, captured by Uttke Photography & Design.
When Maggie & Ryan began planning their midwest wedding, their inspiration was “Bohemian German”. They wanted a simple and rustic surrounded by their friends and family. The day came, and it was a huge mashup of Ryan’s Wisconsin family and Maggie’s East Coast family — and their friends from all over the globe. Lovers of beer, cheese and sausage, Wisconsin has thick German heritage. So, bringing everyone to Wisconsin was their first step at incorporating the German aspect of their inspiration. With their families, they incorporated personal touches like handmade floral centerpieces, friends got together and made all the after-dinner desserts, Maggie and a bridesmaid even made the bridal cake themselves. They picked Trimborn Farm in Greenfield, Wisconsin because of the simplistic, rustic and beautiful barn setting… exactly what they were looking for. As a blank slate, it allowed Maggie and Ryan to really make their wedding day their own.
