Happy Monday everyone, I hope you all had a great weekend and enjoyed the sunshine if you had it! We had a weekend full of birthday parties, Dexter’s 9th birthday party on Saturday and then his friends on Sunday. We managed to enjoy a lot of the Glastonbury coverage, which was outstanding! So now on with another fun packed week on the blog. It’s a busy one for you this week with lots of extra wedding planning articles for you and some beautiful weddings. W are starting off with Emily and Christopher who were married on 29th July at Newport, Rhode Island. The whole day is stunning from the flower filled arbor to their super cute pet dog, complete with flower crown! What’s not to love!! Big thanks to Katie O. Photos for the lovely photos.
Chris and Emily have such a visibly wonderful type of love, they are a little bit of magic. They had a gorgeous, boho celebration at Castle Hill Inn in Newport, RI surrounded by their friends, family, and Bernese Mountain Dog puppy, Denali. Thee photos showcases the highlights of their day from their details to the joy everyone shared with each other throughout their wedding day.
Chris and I wanted to find a beautiful outdoor venue near the water. It was important to us to have the Ceremony outside, as I always dreamed of that growing up and we are nature people. We ended up checking out some stunning venues in Newport, RI and picked The Castle Hill Inn. They have a gorgeous outdoor arbor overlooking the Newport Harbour and a beautiful Chalet Tent just off the lawn near the arbor. We picked a late July date so we wanted our theme to be very Summer in New England. Our colours were navy and mauve for the bridal party, then paired that with pink toned and white/cream florals. To help meet the boho vibe that I always wanted we decorated the tent with some rattan light fixtures and a ton of hanging greenery. We truly wanted to make this day our own so kept to majority of the ceremony very custom to us, but incorporated a Catholic reading, read by my now mother in law. It was important to us to honour each of our religious upbringings and to have her be the one to read it up there with us. Very beautiful and emotional!!
