Melania and Giacomo's Romantic Santorini Sunset Wedding by Lighthouse Photography

Happy Friday everyone and how are you this fine Friday? Ready for the weekend? The last few weeks have been crazy busy so I am looking forward to a slightly more chilled weekend, this weekend. So I am off to the cinema with Dexter on Saturday afternoon and then to the ballet in the evening. Sunday we are going over to a friends house for a chilled afternoon and a good catch up. What about you? Today it is all about this stunning wedding though and what a way to round off the week. Melania and Giacomo were married on 22^nd June 2024 at the Grace Hotel in Santorini and what a gorgeous day they had. Firstly the decorations are just beautiful, I love the elegant Boho touches, the mixture of terracotta and cream against the bright white background of the Santorini buildings. Secondly, that view!! WOW! having been to Santorini before I can say first hand that the island really is wonderful and these photos by Lighthouse Photography really do it justice.

Melania and Giacomo, an Italian couple with a shared love for Greece and especially the iconic Santorini, celebrated their dream wedding, one warm summer evening on the idyllic island. Known for its iconic sunsets and white-washed buildings with blue-domed roofs, Santorini provided a breathtaking backdrop that matched the couple’s vision perfectly. The intimate celebration brought together their closest family and friends, adding a heartfelt personal touch to the ceremony. The beauty of Santorini’s volcanic cliffs and Aegean Sea created an enchanting setting that made the day magical.

The wedding day began with a private ceremony at the luxury Grace Hotel in Imerovigli, overlooking the caldera, where the couple exchanged vows surrounded by flowers and pampas grass arrangements with a boho yet romantic vibe. Melania wore an elegant, flowing gown that caught the warm sunset hues, while Giacomo looked dapper in a classic suit, both radiating happiness and anticipation. As the vows were exchanged, the gentle sounds of the piano underscored the couple’s love story and set a peaceful and dreamy tone.

After a stunning portrait session with the incredible Lighthouse Photography, the couple and their loved ones enjoyed dinner prepared by the Hotel’s Michelin awarded chef, Lefteris Lazarou, accompanied by the magnificent sun setting behind the Scaros Rock and serenely behind the Aegean horizon. Toasts were made under the twilight sky as the couple’s loved ones shared laughter, stories, and heartfelt wishes for their future. As night fell, Melania and Giacomo danced away in a beautiful blend of Italian and Greek music in a joyful celebration.
