Today we are heading across to Canada for this gorgeous Ontario Wedding. Shelly and Blake’s Wedding took place on 18th July 2015 at Shelly’s parents home and was captured beautifully by Sophia Lemon Photography. The whole day is totally laid back with a chilled bohemian vibe. Filled with an eclectic mix of decorations and details it really is a totally relaxed day. Shelly and Blake stayed true to what they wanted and threw traditions out the window. I just love the relaxed nature of this day and I know you are going to too.
Shelly and Blake’s whimsical wedding was as casual as they come. Shelly said she didn’t want to take up their guests’ entire day with the wedding. Their family and friends (and dogs) were invited to camp in Shelly’s parents’ field and made their way to the house at around 7.
They all chummed around until Shelly and Blake were feeling ready, then they asked everyone to gather around the tipi and Shelly’s father lead her to the front of the crowd. There was no defined schedule to the day. After the ceremony guests played giant Jenga, sat and chatted, or chowed down on some poutine until the band started up.
Like their schedule, their decor was casual. They decorated the property with their favourite things like bicycles, paddles, and antiques. The boys rolled up their sleeves and Shelly wore a stunning backless bohemian dress. Their spiritual ceremony took place in front of a gorgeous tipi, with one church pew for their grandparents and the rest of their guests gathered around on foot. The barn was filled with candles and dreamcatchers, and plenty of seats where family and friends could kick up their feet and hang out
