Planning a wedding is an exciting time, but it can also be overwhelming. The cost of the big day can quickly add up, budgeting for your wedding can become more stressful than enjoyable. Fortunately, with simple tips and tricks, you can ensure that your dream wedding doesn’t break the bank. The most important thing is understanding where your spending is going. Look up typical costs of your biggest expenses, like the average wedding venue cost, how much people normally spend on catering, and how to prepare for small expenses that can add up. When you go into it with the right knowledge, you can have your dream wedding without going into debt.
It’s essential to set a budget before you begin planning. It might seem obvious, but many couples forget to consider their financial situation when considering everything they want to include in their wedding. If you’re on a tight budget, it’s best not to get carried away with your ideas and make sure that everything fits within your financial limits. You should also ensure that any vendors or services outside your immediate budget are still realistic and within your price range.

Today I am taking you off to Hertfordshire for this gorgeous styled shoot, full of disco inspiration and cool autumn vibes. The shoot took place on 11th October 2022 at Offley Place. With the inspiration being boho and disco balls the shoot soon evolved into a celebration of autumn styling, mixed with the glitz and glam of the disco era. I just love the use of disco balls and smoke bombs in this shot, I am a MASSIVE fan of the disco ball, and think every wedding looks better for having them around! Big thanks to Sam at Rose Rae Photography for her ideas and gorgeous photos.

Today I have the most gorgeous, warm and tender backyard wedding that took place at the couples home in California. Mili and Kenny were married on 14th November 2021 in Berkeley. Their whole day was super personal and celebrated not only their love for each other but their community’s love for them. With a ring ceremony where the rings get passed around each guest, along with jumping the broom, this wedding is full of tradition and good wishes form everyone involved. They opened up their backyard for the ceremony, their home for the sit down reception and adorned the tables with the most stunning flowers. The whole day is exquisite and full of charm, grace and warmth. Big thanks to planner Elle Inspired Productions for the lovely submission and to Eichar Photography for the gorgeous photos.

Happy Monday lovely people and welcome to another wonderful week on the blog. How is your January going so far? Mine is good, I had a lovely weekend, which involved having family round for dinner on Saturday night and then a trip to Chatsworth with my best friend on Sunday! This week I have my wedding planning head on, as my lovely couple Vicky and Mark tie the knot this May, so it’s time to ramp up the workload and get on with a whole list of jobs. What about you? What’s on your wedding planning to do list? On with today’s wedding and I am taking you back to the summer when we had heat wave after heat wave here in the UK, the sun shone and we all melted! Caroline and Simon chose a chilled out back garden wedding in Kent. The reception is so relaxed, the results of this marquee wedding filled with lots of fab home made projects is an absolute delight. The flowers are beautiful the whole day is filled with so much fun and laughter. Big thanks to Nick Beal Photography for the lovely photos.
Caroline and Simon were married on 23rd July 2022 at St Andrew’s Church, Shepherdswell Kent with a marquee reception in their garden. ‘We moved to Shepherdswell in October 2018, Simon grew up in the village and his parents live in the village, our gardens back in to one another! I wanted an informal, relaxed day, more a garden party than a wedding reception. We had 126 guests and it took 2 years to plan.’

The whole day is just divine and captured perfectly by Simon Dewey Photography.
Ella and Adam were married on 6th July 2022 at Riverlands (East Yorkshire Barns). ‘The venue was gorgeous and had the exact countryside and relaxed atmosphere we wanted. We saw it pre lots of renovation and saw such potential in it as a venue. We had 60 guests and it took 4 yeras on and off to plan.’
