Fabulous Photo: Andy Wardle

Morning all! how is everyone today? Today I have the house to myself as my Husband has gone off for the day with is Dad, he’s off watching some motorbike thing, no idea what, I guess I should pay more attention to what he tells me!! Anyway it gives me the chance to spend a day re assessing a few things to do with the wedding planning and the blog……………more about that on Wednesday’s blog!

So today’s Fabulous Photo is from Manchester based Andy Wardle. Andy contacted me last week by email, to introduce himself. Andy and his wife Nicola have been in business for about 2 and half years. They have kept themselves pretty low key until now as they wanted to make sure that the photography was a good enough standard before they really started to promote themselves. I feel very privileged that I was one of the first people they contacted! his reasoning being that he liked my ‘alternative’ outlook……yay!! I have to say I love Andy’s work it’s got a great edge, great use of light and you can tell that it’s something different! I will be featuring more of Andy’s work on the blog in a couple of weeks.

This picture was the pre wedding shoot for Lucy and Richard who were married up in St Andrews, Scotland a few months back. Andy tells me ‘We had a really cool chilled afternoon on the beach up there – just the 3 of us and a few seagulls! They were married in an old church the following day in the hills on the outskirts of St Andrews. The rest of the the beach shots and other pre wedding shoots can be seen HERE.
I love the randomness of this photo, the close up of the shoes with the couple blurred in the background, the composition is great as are the muted colours that Andy uses. It really made me notice it when I first saw it…very real!

Brilliant picture! Amazing photographers and he and Nicola are such lovely people too – I definitely think we’re going to be hearing a LOT more from them in the future.
