No wedding today, instead I have this gorgeous styled shoot sent into me by Laura Power photography. It’s a Bohemian styled shoot, which features lost of home-made and home-grown touches, it also features the cutest dogs and the most amazing horse, so how could I not share it with you?! The shoot took place in July at Lowgoods Farm, Shepperdine. Laura worked with Sorori Design Florist, L A Styling and Dottie Designs, a collaboration with lots more styled shoots in the pipeline.
‘We wanted to showcase what the family business’ have to offer. Maria, sister Lorna, maria’s daughter Lauren and her business partner & friend Adele are a close family unit offering floristry, styling & bespoke handmade décor for weddings.’
‘The families “Onsight Cutting Garden” was the reason & inspiration behind the whole shoot. Planted here are a wonderfully random palette of florals & textures waiting to be part of bridal bouquets. The shoot stemmed from this idea of growing at home and giving that care and love into our weddings & business’. From that came the vision of getting married at home on the farm.
We wanted to show the very best of us all and I think we achieved it tenfold. We shot during late afternoon & into the evening – the changing light harnessed a different feel with every shot and I just love that. You’ve got a festival feel with the sunset and intimate candle light against blue glass on a summers evening. I am so pleased and honoured they asked me to be a part of it. When brides visit the farm they can see the cutting garden and grounds for themselves – right down to the dogs watching over their precious stems. You really feel welcomed by the team and I think the images really reflect that.’
