Emma and Aaron’s Western Style Wedding Weekend in Montana by The Big Day Photography

Today I am bringing you a wedding full of style, rustic detailing, along with an elevated western theme and of course the most gorgeous couple. Emma and Aaron were married on 4th October 2025 at 320 Guest Ranch in Montana. Not only did they create the most stunning western style wedding day but they also hosted a gorgeous welcome dinner for this wedding weekend that spanned over 3 days. With cowboy hats and boots a plenty, rustic touches and a deep orange colour palate, this wedding is warm, cosy, stylish and incredibly inviting. Big thanks to the planners Golden Hour Events and photographers The Big Day Photography.

Aaron was determined to catch Emma’s attention after they first met at a friend’s birthday party, though Emma admits she was playing hard to get at the time. By their second date, Aaron won her over with his dance moves, which she recalls “still get me every time!” After nearly four years of long-distance dating, they decided it was time to close the gap. Emma moved to Aspen, Colorado, and that’s where their true adventures began. One February day, they headed to Wagner Park to celebrate their pup Hobb’s birthday. With clear skies overhead and the mountains as a striking backdrop, the day was off to a beautiful beginning. As they waited for other furry friends to arrive, Aaron got down on one knee, beaming, a sparkling ring in hand. “Through happy tears, I said yes,” Emma wrote.

Inspired by Big Sky, Montana, Emma and Aaron set out to capture a Western feel in a way that felt elevated and refined. Horseback riding, bonfires, and custom cowboy details defined an immersive wedding weekend. Hosted at 320 Guest Ranch, the riverfront property welcomed guests to stay in log cabins and take in sweeping mountain views. Design details felt deeply connected to the landscape while maintaining a polished edge. Natural elements like wood and antlers were balanced with warm lighting and subtle luxury touches. A seasonal palette of fall yellows and oranges added a sense of Montana warmth to the otherwise classic aesthetic. The couple shared their first look alongside their two golden retrievers; it was an emotional high point of the day. Their ceremony was set in the round on a wooden platform at the base of the mountains. Skipping more formal traditions, they opted for a ceremony officiated by their best friend Jordan, who led with personal storytelling. A light Montana rain rolled in, as a circular arrangement of flowers surrounded the couple, the mist amplifying the moment. Emma embraced multiple looks throughout the celebration, from a timeless satin gown paired with a fur stole to a beaded after-party ensemble complete with a fringed jacket and glitter cowboy boots. Thoughtful details carried into the reception, where cocktail shakers doubled as escort cards and an espresso martini machine worked overtime, becoming a focal point that kept the energy high. Later in the evening, the couple poured a bottle of bubbles into their champagne tower, closing the night on a celebratory note.
