Megan and Justin’s ‘Tropical Boho’ Costa Rica Wedding by Raw Shoots Photography

Morning! and Happy Monday to you all! I hope you had a wonderful weekend? What did you get up to? Mine was a good one, we went to a burns night celebration on Saturday night, which was fun and something I have never done before. Sunday we had a day in York, we went to the Van Gogh Immersive Experience which was wonderful, had a look round York and got some food. All in all a lovely weekend with my boys! So back for anther busy week on the blog, January sure has been a hectic one! We are starting the week with the wedding of Megan and Justin who were married on 12th November in Costa Rica. They went for natural tones and a tropical boho theme, incorporating the beautiful surroundings into their decoration. What a stunning backdrop for a wedding day. Raw Shoots Photography was there to capture the day for us, while Mil Besos Costa Rica planned the day to perfection.

Meghan the planner tells us more about the wedding

Megan and Justin are a lively, fun-loving couple who share a passion for adventure, nature, and each other. Their paradisiac boho wedding was held in Quepos, a town known for its rich biodiversity, waterfalls, and stunning coastlines. Having visited Manuel Antonio before, they fell in love with the gorgeous sunsets and relaxed vibe of Costa Rican culture.
Envisioning an intimate wedding with limited stress, they came to us hopeful to share the blissful Pura Vida spirit with those they love the most. Ideally a vacation for everyone, interlaced with excursions and relaxing activities, while Megan and Justin casually tie the knot.

This stunning couple’s love story is too sweet not to share. Megan and Justin met on a blind date set up by mutual friends at a Halloween party, immediately hit it off, spent Thanksgiving with both their families, and became inseparable ever since. Justin surprise proposed to Megan surrounded by their families on Easter 2020, he hid the ring in an Easter egg with a secret photographer ready to capture the romantic moment. At home, these North Carolinians can be caught spending time with their two boxers at home, snowboarding, wake surfing, cooking, traveling around the world, and exploring new cultures.
Once engaged, they immediately knew Costa Rica was the ideal place to have their destination wedding. Manuel Antonio already held special meaning for these two, as it was their first vacation out of the US together. They wanted to share their love for this beautiful country with their closest family and friends, and make their wedding feel like a vacation for everyone.

We were honoured to bring their wedding vision to life at the iconic venue Punto de Vista, a luxury villa surrounded by insanely beautiful views. Overlooking the wedding altar, the shoreline meets the dense jungle vibrant with wildlife and islands seen off in the distance.

The wedding day was nothing short of magical. The ceremony had a naturalistic vibe, with wicker lanterns and hanging oval lanterns that created a boho elegant feel. The bride’s bouquet was made of eucalyptus, white roses, palms, and other dried flowers for a sustainable and chic look.
The view transitioning into the reception was simply unreal, with the sunset providing a perfect end to the evening. With a live local band, everyone let their hair down to boogie with no worries. The new Mr. + Mrs dined, and celebrated the night away with the people they loved most in the world. The atmosphere felt effortless and ethereal, as they intimately celebrated their new union.
