Anna and Tom’s Pool Party Wedding in New South Wales by Lonely Hunter Photography

I have a really fun wedding to share with you today! Anna and Tom were married at Terragong House in New South Wales, Australia. They wanted an intimate wedding where they could spend quality time with their nearest and dearest friends and family. They held a beautifully elegant outdoor ceremony, which was filled with the most delightful flowers, followed by a laid back pool party reception with much celebration and laughter. The speeches looked hilarious, the guests really did have a fun filled day, all captured perfectly by Lonely Hunter Photography such gorgeous images.

Anna tells us more about her and Thomas and their day

Thomas and I started simply out as friendly co-workers about 4 years ago, then over time became friends, and only started dating 2 years ago.
Thomas proposed to me on July 2019 on my birthday.  It was in a small local park in Kirribilli, overlooking the harbour, somewhere we used to come for picnics when we started dating. He had champagne ready and my favourite chocolates.

We both were clear about not having a traditional sit-down wedding with average food, average music, forced speeches and terrible dancing. So we just wanted a relaxing celebration with a group of people who are important in our lives (of manageable size!). The time spent with our friends and family and a good relaxing day is what we loved the most.

We wanted to choose a venue outdoors. We loved that it’s close enough but far enough from Sydney.  We loved that they had a max number of guests – 60 (because we didn’t want any more than that, but also to keep us inline). We felt in love with the area near the pool and the house itself.  But also the property owners and the wedding planner that we had to use as per owners requests.  They were the nicest and most helpful people we’ve met when selecting venues.
