Happy Friday everyone! Today I am super excited as 1) it’s the last day of term, so the beginning of the summer holidays and 2) The beginning of the holidays start with 3 days at Tramlines Festival. Tramlines is a festival just down the road in Sheffield, but it’s MASSIVE! We are off straight after school and will be there for the next 3 days. It’s family friendly so we are taking Dexter today and Sunday but have a day to ourselves on Saturday. I just hope the rain can stay away, as the forecast is looking a bit rubbish! So on with today’s wedding. You have to be brave to hold an outdoor wedding in the UK, the weather quite often is not on our side! To hold a Yorkshire wedding in autumn is even braver! Rachel and Matt made the decision to hold their ceremony outside. Even though it looked touch and go with the weather they made it through the ceremony staying relatively dry! They were married on 11th September 2021 at Kilnsey Park Estate and held a fun filled day that was captured perfectly by Matt Sim Photo.
Rachel and Matt’s autumnal wedding happened in September of 2021 at the beautiful Kilnsey Park Estate deep in the Yorkshire Dales. What an amazing setting for an outdoor Yorkshire wedding, the views up the dale set against the incredible crag side overlooking the reception field made it a really special setting an absolute dream. The weather even played it’s part too – the rain (mostly) held off and we were treated to some glorious sunny spells and later a stunning sunset, what more could you want!?
Rachel and her group of bridesmaids got ready at the accommodation at Kilnsey Park while Matt and the boys put their suits on at a nearby B&B. Rachel looked absolutely amazing in her resplendent floral dress and Matt equally dapper in his blue wedding suit. The outdoor ceremony took place in front of their nearest and dearest under the hand crafted oak pagoda in the ceremony field. After the I Do’s we paraded to the nearby Riverside Reception Field and the marquee on the banks of the river Wharfe in the shadow of the dramatic Kilnsey Crag. There was live music, canapés, fizz and lots of photos of course. Following was a delicious three course meal, speeches and more music and dancing into the wee hours. What a terrific day and one I was so pleased play a part in.
