Today’s beautiful wedding sees us head off to sunny Florida for this gorgeous beach wedding. Brooke and Zebulon who are from Michigan, chose Florida as Brooke’s father lives in Siesta and what a perfect location. The couple chose a boho disco theme, mixing muted natural tones with all things glitter balls. The ceremony beach area is pure perfection with the most gorgeous arbor set against the ocean backdrop. As for the reception area, Wow! So many amazing decoration details, the flowers, the mini disco balls, it all looks stunning. Brooke and Zebulon were married on 28th January 2023 at Sunset Beach Resort in Siesta Key, Florida. ‘Brookes father lives on siesta and I loved the idea of having my whole wedding party stay right on the beach in an intimate setting. We had 150 guests and it took a year to plan.’

How they met 
Through Mutual friends and about 2 years when we got married

The proposal
Shortly after Zeb and I met we decided we wanted to get married. One evening we were at home doing our normal nightly routine where he surprised me with the most gorgeous ring! It was everything I wanted. Something just for us to remember and be in the moment for. Shortly after that a positive pregnancy test came back. In the matter of months we got everything we ever dreamed of.

How did you allocate your budget?
We are lucky enough my Dad has been looking forward to this day my whole life. He made our dream board come to life.

Where did you splurge and where did you save?
Splurged on decorations and flowers. Saved on having food trucks for our guest.

How did you choose your photographer?
Our amazing wedding planner suggested the talented Arianna

The dress 
Accessories were my push gift for the necklace and my moms old Jewelry

The suit and bridesmaids
Zeb and his groomsmen rocked a beautiful linen suit from an Italian company called Studio Suits. My bridesmaids picked their own from birdie Gray

Theme or colour scheme
Boho/disco. Colour theme was a mix match of muted colours and textures

Flowers 
A mix of dried and fresh

Decoration
Rattan lanterns, disco balls, mix matched goblets

Food
Two food trucks. One Mediterranean and one Fish

Wedding cake
Custom cookies and cream ice cream Sandwiches

Entertainment
Local band for rehearsal and a DJ for the wedding

Where are you going on your honeymoon?
We are planning a trip to Italy once the baby is a little older. Italy offers so many different options, from a beach holiday in Sardinia, a weekend of culture in Rome, to touring Italy’s famous Amalfi coast. We cannot wait to explore the beautiful country.

Personal touches
While having a newborn I really put my trust in my team and they did a phenomenal job making my dream come true reality.

Special moments 
Having our six month old son there to share these memories with. Being an out of state wedding (we live in Michigan) we were so flattered having so many people travel to celebrate our big day with us.

Advice for other couples
Get a wedding planner if you have an out of state wedding. Jennifer Matteo’s team truly made it a stress free event

Biggest surprise 
See everything come together in those two days. The venue was completely transformed into something out of a dream!
