Boho Loves: A new eco wedding site……….in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside!

Are you looking to hold an Eco Wedding? are you interested in looking after the planet while celebrating your wedding day? well today I have a gorgeous venue that is just perfect for you!

A few weeks ago I popped up to meet Mark Woodward the owner of Green Directions, I had heard that he had an Eco wedding site that was virtually on my door step! and when i got there I wasn’t disappointed.

Green directions is a Farm in Stannington Sheffield. Mark has lived at the farm for 7 years and has completely renovated it from scratch! The farm has been renovated using green technologies and has its own

• Wind turbines
• Ground source heat pumps
• A rainwater unit
• Making it completely self-sufficient.

Not not only is the site completely Eco friendly but it looks amazing as well. Marks cottage and outbuildings give it that perfect country look, with on sight toilets and with the most stunning backdrop of yorkshire fields and country side, it’s the perfect place to put any Tipi or Yurt and has plenty fo field space  for all those wedding extras! Plus it is only 10-15 minutes from the city centre, meaning your guests don’t have far to travel if they want a city centre hotel, or if you want a city centre wedding ceremony.

As well as weddings, Mark uses the farm as a conference site, and is perfect for business meetings as it has its own purpose-built conference room inside of the cottage. He also runs education  days where children can learn about climate change, green technologies, sustainable living and food and farming. Visitors can also meet Marks Tamworth pigs, see how they grow their own vegetables and fruit and try his charcuterie and chocolates………….which are by the ay THE most AMAZING chocolates I have ever tasted!! (I’m currently trying to persuade mark to make more of these and sell them all to me!)

Mark has done a fantastic job with the farm and knowing him he has plenty more pans for the future. A wedding there would be amazing, and I know that Mark would really look after any couple who chose to host their wedding there. You don’t meet many people like Mark every day, he really is one in a million (in a totally awesome way fo course) and I know he will make this wedding site a great one!…………..he has lost fo plans fo the future so get your wedding in quick before it gets booked up!
