Chelsea and Matt's Modern Boho Wedding in Wisconsin by Wild Love Pursuit

Welcome along to a new week on the blog. It may be Tuesday but after the bank holiday yesterday today feels like the start of the week to me. I hope you had a wonderful long weekend. Mine was spent celebrating my 50th birthday with a belated party, I had an absolutely fabulous time, I just wish I could do it all over again. I have a busy week ahead on the blog starting this Tuesday with the Modern Boho wedding of Chelsea and Matt. This Boho loving couple were married on 28th August 2021 at LOT 671, a barn venue in Auburndale, Wisconsin. They wanted a minimal wedding but with a strong Boho vibe and they pulled this off in beautiful fashion. Chelsea created a lot of the decoration herself and put her love of dried flowers to great use with the bouquet, button holes and flower arch. The whole day looks spectacular, and was captured by Xee Vang from Wild Love Pursuit.

Matt and I wanted to spend the day celebrating our love with our closest family and friends! Without them we wouldn’t be here today in our relationship! We wanted our venue to be relaxed and comfortable for our guests! Growing up in the Midwest, we wanted a rustic feel, but up to date with the dried grasses and boho vibes! Being a minimalist, we stuck with natural colours and textures!

The proposal
Matt and I love playing monopoly, so I bought him a new board for Christmas that closed up into a book! He begged me to play one Sunday afternoon! He set up the game and put my engagement ring in with the pieces! He choose to do it in the comfort of our home with our animals, which is my favourite place to be.

Outfits
Clearly the boho modern vibe is in full effect in 2021! We took complete advantage of that! It all started with my dress! I’ve always been different, and new when it came to my dress it would need to be something no one has done around here! Which is easy to do in central Wisconsin! The minute I said yes to the dress I knew exactly how I wanted to decorate our venue! It all came together so easily after that!

Decoration
I took complete control in every aspect of decorating our venue! From the flowers to the table settings! Being able to be in control of every detail was my favourite part of planning our big day!

Flowers
We used all dried grasses for our wedding! I spent many hours making the bouquets and boutonnières, to the centrepieces and decorating the arch! My favourite part was using dried flowers and grasses that we can display around our home to remind us of our wedding day!

Personal touches
Our bridal party speaks for themselves! We have so many awesome friends and family! Each and everyone of them created the entertainment through out the entire day!

Special moment
For me, the bride, the first look with my dad was one of my most anticipated parts of the day, along with walking down the isle! I think there’s something so special about those first looks on your wedding day!

Advice for other couples
As someone who over thinks every detail, just remember to enjoy every second of your day! Take the time to take in every moment! When they say it goes fast they mean it! Also- hire a good photographer so you can look back at every moment and smile! We’re so glad we found Wild Love Pursuit! We will forever be able to look back and remember every moment!
