Happy Friday everyone and how are you all? How has your Easter week been? I have been off for most of the week looking after Dexter, so it’s been a strange week work wise. And it’s been a strange week weather wise! 4 seasons in one day springs to mind. I hope next week is a little kinder to us, especially when we are allowed to sit outside at bars and restaurants again! On with today’s wedding, as we head over to New South Wales in Australia for this delightful wedding that took place in January of this year. Despite Covid, Ebony and Liam still managed to have 70 guests at their day, which they kept super chilled out and relaxed. This couple sure do love to laugh, their energy is infectious! Big thanks to Spencer at Love of Mine Photography for the gorgeous images.
Ebony and Liam were married on 15th January 2021 at Bonna Point Reserve and Wanda Surf Club in New South Wales, Australia. ‘We wanted to be as relaxed as possible and it’s close to home, less stress and easier for family and friends to attend. Kurnell is also important to us as we live here and love it. We had 70 guests and it took a year to plan.’
How they met
We met when I moved into his granny flat…3 years ago.
The proposal
We were on our way home from Canada, with a stop in Mexico. We were riding around Isla Holboc on our rented bicycles, and decided to have a picnic and a few vinos by the water for the afternoon. In hindsight Liam was nervous and were just about to leave when he asked me the big question.
Where did you splurge and where did you save?
Saved on having it closer to home, and a venue that did the catering.
How did you choose your photographer?
Google and Instagram research and reading a lot of reviews.
The dress
Grace Loves Lace, Flash Jewellery necklace and the rest were heirlooms
The suit and bridesmaids
Polotix suit, bridesmaids – Model Chic
Flowers
Australian Natives
Decoration
Simple flower arrangements and the flowers from the ceremony
Food and Cake
We had Grazing boards and Cocktail style food. The cake was made by my beautiful friend Annaliese Watson.
Entertainment
Musician Krista Monica and DJ – David James Crampton
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
Roadtrip up north to Hunter, Port Stephens, Byron Bay, Crystal Creek. Benefit of Covid is that we get to see more of our backyard.
Special moments
Seeing all of our families together just genuinely enjoying themselves. Speeches and dancing from friends and family that could not attend due to Covid restrictions and being able to stream our day to them.
Advice for other couples
Relax, you’ve employed people that do this all the time and everything will work out. I guarantee you wont care about the little details on the day.
