Eliza and Brad’s Family Adventure Elopement in Colorado by Vows and Peaks

Hello you lovely people and Happy Friday to you all! Are you as happy that it’s the weekend as I am? Week 4 in lockdown nearly done, thank goodness, only another (potentially) 5 to go before the schools (hopefully) go back! It’s been a long week and I am very much looking forward to wine O’clock a little bit later. This weekend I will be dusting off my hairdressing scissors and giving Nik and Dexter hair cuts, God help them, baking, walking and having a good old clear out. Nik and I have a delicious meal ordered form one of our local restaurants who are running a ‘dine at home’ service. We have done quite a few from different restaurants over the past few weeks, so I’m looking forward to trying this one out. So on with today’s wedding, well actually it’s an elopement. Eliza & Brad held their ‘Family Adventure Elopement’ on 18th September 18 2020, at Breckenridge, Colorado. The whole thing was arranged and photographed by Sean from Vows and Peaks a self confessed adventure elopement ninja. The couple wanted to have their personal vows on their own and were then joined by their closest family members for an intimate ceremony and amazing outdoor reception.

Sean from Vows and Peaks tells us more about the adventure

When Eliza and Brad reached out about their small family elopement, I knew it was going to be super fun. They explained that they wanted to have their families without compromising their adventurous side. I went over a couple different options before settling on a sunrise hike where they shared a first look and vow ceremony before heading to a scenic mountain pass to say “I do” with their family and friends.

We popped open the coolers on the pass before heading back into Breckenridge where my wife surprised them with a set up out of pinterest! She decorated the entire backyard with table settings, fairy lights and had a private chef cook them a spectacular meal!
It goes to show that there are no rules to elopements. You can still balance your family’s desires while not compromising your adventure. It really was such a fun and special way to celebrate their love with each other and their families.
