Michelle and Matthew’s Vegan Friendly, Peach and Gold LA Wedding by Eve Rox Photography

Happy Tuesday everyone, I hope you are well and happy? After our trip to LA yesterday for the beautiful wedding of Morgan and Zack, I am taking you back for another gorgeous LA wedding. Michelle and Matthew were married on 24th May 2019 in Los Angeles, at Madera Kitchen. They held a vegan friendly wedding, with warm tones and accents of peach and gold, lots of greenery and plenty of different textures. The decor is gorgeous and as for Michelle, you’ve go to love a bride in a hat! Big thanks to Eve Rox Photography for the lovely photos.

How they met
We met at a dance party at our friends home in Laguna Beach. We started a conversation over a box of vegan donuts. We have been inseparable ever since.

The engagement
We had our favourite vegan brunch in Long Beach and then walked our two Chihuahuas down Ocean Blvd. He took me by complete surprise and I truly thought Matt was joking. I said yes! (Obviously) and we shared a moment of pure bliss; ran to the store grabbed some champagne and went to the beach to watch the sunset. I’d say it was pretty romantic!

Theme or colour scheme
We knew from the start we wanted it to be green and full of texture! Also, had to be very vegan friendly with a great outdoor space. Once we found our venue it all fell in place. We found a vintage wooden room divider at the flea market and it set the tone. We love a warmer more colourful setting so we used colours like Peach, Eucalyptus, Marsala, and Gold.

The planning process
Super fun, challenging, but awesome! Honestly, we had a great experience and it was really bonding for us. Matt enjoyed making spreadsheets and picking music and I enjoyed having another reason to go to the thrift store!
