Iva and Ivan's Black and Gold Barn Wedding with a Black Wedding Dress by Ladies and Gentlemen

You know a wedding is going to be a good one when they have a couples shoot the next day, the bride wears a black dress and biker boots and they walk each other down the aisle. Iva and Ivan created a jaw dropping wedding in a gorgeous rustic barn in Croatia. They have created an edgy feel to the day by adding lots of gold and black decoration, all of which was created by Iva herself. The ceremony area, as well as the reception area look amazing, the attention to detail is fantastic. As for Iva and Ivan they both look super stylish and rock the 2 looks for the wedding as well as the couples shoot the following day perfectly. Iva’s black dress and boots look awesome under her wedding day shear gown. the whole day is one of my favourites for a long time and Ladies and Gentlemen photography have captured it beautifully.

A day full of emotions and smiles. Small intimate universe that we created for friends and family.

Iva and Ivan were married on 18^th of May 2019 at Kuća dida Tunje, Oprisavci, Croatia. ‘The open space on the country side surrounded with the beautiful nature and domestic animals and the possibility to have the ceremony in the barn was why we chose it. We had 170 guests with the band and photographer and videographer. In one day we organized the place for the reception, the photographer and the videographer and the band. The little things we did in whole year before the wedding because all the organization and decoration was on us.’

How they met
We met at a wedding. We are wedding photographer and videographer so we met while working. We have been together for 4.5 years.

How did you choose your photographer?
We met Matija at photographers festival in Croatia – Grain wedding festival. It was something about the style of his appearance that made us consider him at first. After that, he asked us to be models for one mini couple photography session and we were so thrilled in his company and with the photos so there was no more considering who will be our wedding photographer.

The dress
The dress was by Studio Gray, shoes were Steve Madden. For the wedding I had no accessories, but for the wedding session I had a crown which I ordered on Aliexpress, so as the black part of the dress. For the wedding session I also had black RAID boots from ASOS. My bouquet was also my accessories on the session and it was made by the talented Pixy with love.

The suit and bridesmaids
The suit for the wedding was elegant black and it was made by the Croatian designer Ivica Klarić. For the shooting everything was Zara. The bridesmaids wore what they want!

Personal touches
Well, everything was a personal touch. All the wedding details and all the decoration I did by myself. Year before the wedding I started to organize everything and buy the stuff I needed: gold candlesticks, vases, gold cutlery, box for the wedding rings, box for the cards, neon sign, wooden arch, materials for the table, for the arch, candles, well…everything. Also, I made wedding invitations by myself, designed them, printed them on the transparent foil, put them in the black envelopes and sealed with the gold wax seal. I really enjoyed doing that and that really was one of the best part of my wedding!

Special moments
The ceremony. Everything was so emotional and so many people cried because of the emotions, happiness, everything. It was really special.

Advice for other couples?
Just enjoy, relax and organize the wedding you want, don’t think about the opinions of the others.
