When The Shoe Fits, She Wears it Proudly – Bridal Footwear Wedding Inspiration

I have a real treat for you today with this amazing collection of bridal shoes. If you are looking for wedding shoe inspiration, no matter what kind of bride you are, I have something for every style and taste today. This shoot was a joint project, bringing together a collection of talented experts. The bridal footwear were conceptualised by Love from Mwai, and handcrafted by JANIKO. Mwais from Love from Mwai came up with the idea of creating 5 different styled shoots with 5 different pairs of shoes, ‘Taking inspiration from five special women in my life, each shoot was styled according to the woman’s personality, hobbies, and dreams.’ The results are these carefully created, beautiful bridal shoes, fit for any wedding and any type of bride. My personal favourite are the pink glitter ‘Elina’ shoe boots.

When the shoe fits…she wears it proudly. She struts her style and stands in all of her glory—for everyone to see. This wedding editorial shoot is edgy, eclectic, and a little different. It’s for the women who break moulds and aren’t afraid to be themselves—no matter what that looks like.

When we planned this shoot (and even before then) we wanted to highlight the uniqueness and strength of women in all of their diverse beauty. The designer bridal heels we feature in the shoot were conceptualised by me, the Love from Mwai brand, and handcrafted by two females, powerhouse sisters who founded the company, JANIKO.

The shoot is centred around the designer bridal heels, all of which were inspired by five special women in my life. Each shoot was styled according to the woman’s personality, hobbies, and dreams, and it’s our hope that as we introduce the shoes and the women who inspired them, every reader will find their kindred. Here are the personalities and women behind the design concepts:

The Claire – Bridal Boots—Made for the bold go-getter with an insatiable drive to innovate and crack glass ceilings, The Claire is a shoe that fits the “independent” and “confident” high achievers of the world. It’s the perfect fit for the one who’s not afraid of trial and error and blazing new trails.

The Elina – Open Toe Bridal Heels—Made for the poised and mature connoisseur with excellent taste, The Elina is a shoe that fits the polished indulgers of the world. It’s the perfect fit for the one who explores, critics and perpetually refines.

The Holly – Open Toe Bridal Heels—Made for the spontaneous wanderers with avant-garde ideas, natural leanings and unconventional inklings, The Holly is a shoe that fits the musical, literary, artistic and spiritual seekers of the world. It’s the perfect fit for the one who’s not afraid to buck the status quo, kick off her heels and walk barefoot through life.

The Sophie – Ballerina Bridal Shoes—Made for the natural dreamer with a head full of romantic ideas and happy endings, The Sophie is a shoe that fits the “idealists” and “hopeless romantics” of the world. It’s the perfect fit for the one who’s old-fashioned at heart and loyal to the core.

The Sarah – Closed Toe Bridal Heels—Made for the philosophical thinkers and intellectuals who long for mental stimulation and a good debate, The Sarah is a shoe that fits the “improvers” and “optimizers” of the world. It’s the perfect fit for the one with a wealth of knowledge and depth of character who’s always ready to listen and learn.

The backdrop for our shoot was the stunning, Italianate-style mansion known as Hedsor House. Located down a windy, country road away from the hustle and bustle of London, this historic home turned venue was built in 1166. After a fire in 1795 that damaged the building, the current house was finished in 1868. Over the years, it’s been remodelled several times, and the walls must hold stories that would capture our attention for hours.  It’s vintage, elegant, and lovely.

Each model wore a dreamy bridal gown from either Morgan Davies Bridal or Naomi Neoh, which was meant to pair with the inspirational women’s personalities and the shoes.
