‘Big Bold Blooms’ Rustic Meets Contemporary Barefoot Bride Wedding Inspiration

It’s been a while since I shared with you a styled shoot. The blog has been so busy over the last few weeks, so I thought I would rectify that today with this gorgeous shoot sent in by Danielle at The Wedding Hub. The shoot was set up to show how new wedding venue Higher Holcombe in Devon can cater for both rustic outdoor ceremonies as well as contemporary, modern indoor receptions. The shoot is full of bold bright colours, in deep yellows and reds, taking influence from the Protea. I love the use of colour, along with the most beautiful blooms and super gorgeous design details. The bare foot bride is the perfect finishing touch to this stunning shoot.

Higher Holcombe is a beautiful converted old dairy barn with acres of woodlands and outdoor space. It was the perfect setting for a secluded boho woodland wedding with big bold blooms and a barefoot bride.

Danielle from the Wedding Hub tells us more about the shoot

I love to work with new businesses entering the wedding industry. Higher Holcombe is a brand new wedding venue in Devon that has just this year opened it’s doors to couples looking for the perfect combination of indoor and outdoor space to say their “I do’s”. The first time I visited the venue I knew
I’d love to style some shoots there.

I wanted this styled shoot to showcase that you can mix indoors with outdoors and rustic with
contemporary.

Venue owner Jo had asked me to put together a shoot to showcase how beautiful the grounds of Higher Holcombe can still look in Autumn once the seasons had changed. I love to make connections with my clients, finding personal touches to add to both real weddings and styled shoots alike. Jo and her family travel a lot and have a strong connection with Africa which is where I got the idea to use the Protea flower as a focal point for floral arrangements, colour pallet and the stationery.
