Black and Coral ‘Elegant Meets Industrial’ Sheffield Wedding Inspiration

Today is day two of our week of Halloween inspired styled shoots. It has been sent in by Sam at Fantail Designer Florist and was organised by Francesca Cliffe Events. The shot took place on 17th June 2019 at Kelham Island Museum in Sheffield, a venue I know very well as it’s only a few miles from where I live. The team of expert wedding suppliers wanted to create a shoot with a difference, a shoot where rules are broken and couples are given the chance to break the mould and do what they want. Adding in a black wedding dress and a trio of black cakes, against the industrial backdrop of Kelham Island, mixed with the soft accents of coral and gold detailing makes, this shoot super stylish as well as soft and romantic. I know you are going to love it.

Sam the Florist tells is more about the inspiration behind the shoot

We wanted to use local suppliers from Francesca Cliffe Event’s supplier base to create an up to date industrial city shoot to show potential clients of Kelham Island Museum what can really be done with the space.

Fran’s choice of the black dress by KMR bridal and Fantail’s concept flowed from there. We wanted to create a shoot that was different to the everyday wedding.  Using details such as the macramé bouquet and buttonhole hole base and going for more of a classically romantic boho look really helped us achieve a look that elements could be taken from with every day brides and grooms.

We wanted to showcase the venue to its clientele that you can really think outside the box of the vintage and industrial look and really make this space your own.  Using different props such as chairs and benches, a foliage hoop to stand under for a ceremony would make a wedding day truly unique.
