Good afternoon everyone! How are we all? Today I am thrilled to be able to bring you this gorgeous shoot all the way from Maine Maritime Museum in Bath, Maine, with images from Emily Delamater Photography and styling from Emily Elizabeth Events. This is so delicate and beautiful, with just the right amount of rustic, nautical vibes! It takes skill to keep that theme classy, and these two have done just that. I love the groom’s jacket-less look and the bride’s very pretty lace topped gown! Enjoy!
What made you decide to do the shoot?
The Maine Maritime Museum in Bath has always struck me as a hidden gem. Nestled along the banks of the Kennebec River, the museum showcases Maine’s history of boat building, shipping, and life along the coast. They host weddings in a gorgeous event space, but it’s the outbuildings that I’ve always been in love with. The wood shingled buildings are so Maine, so rustic and elegant and simple. This collection of structures led me to conceive of a stylish, yet down-to-earth couple.
What was your inspiration behind it?
A couple from Maine (refined minimalists with impeccable taste) living away who have brought some of their big city sensibilities back to their home state. The palette mimics the sea, the rocky coast, and the understated surroundings.
What did you want to get out for the shoot and do you feel you accomplished this?
I wanted to make my vision come to life in collaboration with some of Maine’s most talented creatives.
This, and then some, was most certainly accomplished!
