I am taking you back to the spring with todays gorgeous wedding as we head across to Pennsylvania for the wedding of Morwenna and Matthew. They were married on 28th May 2016 at Matthew’s parents house and their whole day was a beautiful homespun affair. I just love the decor in this wedding, there is something so special about holding your day at a parents or relatives home as it means the detailing and decor can become so much more personal. They took on a vintage theme and mixed it with a few modern elements. They didn’t even let the huge downpour that appeared half-way through the ceremony dampen their spirits, they just changed location and carried on. Big thanks to Requiem Images for the beautiful pictures.
Matthew is a designer in New York City, but he and his fiancé Morwenna wanted to share their wedding with close friends and family in an intimate way. They chose to host this event at Matthew’s parents house, just outside of Pittsburgh, and do most of the preparation and decorating themselves. Despite being largely DIY, the event was absolutely gorgeous, vintage with a hint of modern, and was just a huge fun party for everyone involved. The most magical part of the whole day came when it began to rain, just as the bride walked down the aisle. They shared a few magical moments, then decided to move the party under a tent once the rain became to heavy. Then, just as they had their first kiss, the sun came back out and kept away the rain for the rest of the weekend. Definitely a wedding that guests and vendors alike will remember for many years to come!
