Welcome to your Bank Holiday Monday! A good lie-in and relaxing day is in order I think! Today we are welcoming Last Minute Musicians to Boho as part of our regular Boho Loves feature. Every wedding needs some music in some form – whether that be a kicking band, string quartet, steel band or DJ, so LMM make it easy to find the artists you are looking for!
‘I’m a trained opera & jazz singer with over 20 years’ experience at organising music for events.’
Where are you based?
We are based Hampshire but we cover the entire UK and Europe.
What is your biggest achievement so far?
Building up our agency from scratch has been my biggest achievement. Starting from nothing and growing to be a highly respected agency who supply musicians to the biggest venues in the UK like Wembley Stadium, The Savoy, Chatsworth House etc.
What makes you different to your competitors?
The agency is completely run by professional musicians who are out there working on a weekly basis. We offer a one-to-one service to our bride and grooms, we are always here to help. We don’t leave anything to chance.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
Every day is different. I love hearing about brides and grooms plans. It’s brilliant to get the thankyous afterwards.
What sort of couple do you think you attract?
Every type of couple. No two couples are the same. That’s the pleasure of doing a one-to-one service. We have customers who have small budgets, large budgets, conservative tastes etc.
What would be your ideal wedding to work on?
An ideal wedding is organised well in advance! If everyone is relaxed, our musicians are looked after and everyone has a great time then we are happy. We aim to organize the music perfectly so that everyone can enjoy the day.
Can you give me some information on your pricing structure?
We cover a massive range of prices. We have some soloists who charge £295 right up to large bands that charge around £3000.
What is your ideal way to spend a day off?
A game of tennis and a nice meal.
What can you never leave the house without?
My iphone, I always need to be contactable for late bookings – we are called Last Minute Musicians after all!
What would you do if you won the lottery?
Buy a new house in the country with a lovely big studio so that brides and grooms could come and have a chat and we could do recitals and concerts.
If you weren’t running your business, what would you be doing?
Singing more!
