Tania and Halajie’s Rustic Luxe Italian Wedding By Lato Photography

Todays wedding comes from Cattolica in Italy and it’s a real stunner. This Italian wedding brings with it so much style and fun with beautiful flowers, fab decoration ideas and great entertainment. It’s rustic luxe theme also means that it looks amazing as well as being a whole lot of fun. Wedding planner Cristina from Le Jour Duoui really did do a fantastic job of pulling the whole look and feel together, as well as enlisting some amazing suppliers, including Tommy and Laura from Lato Photography to capture the day.

It was the best, most funny and exciting day ever. The day after we got the sensation of an amazing dream happened: was all of that real? For many days we have rethought about each moment of that day with all the hugs, tears, smiles, joy…it’s impossible to forgot everything.

Tania and Halajie were married on 6th June 2015 at Church of S. Pio V, Cattolica in Italy. ‘We wanted a  rustic and easy setting, nothing too much or formal, something young and romantic. We had 200 guests and it took a year to plan the wedding’

How they met
We met at work and from the beginning there was an harmony between each other, but we started our official story after a few year, we have been together 4 years.

The Proposal
We had a dinner with friends and at one point Ala got up and come back with some big papers…At that moment one of our friends put on one of our favourite songs by Jovanotti (an Italian singer). It was a big love declaration and in the end she asked me “Do you want to marry me?” The funny thing was that in the last page there was a drawing of a diamond, but Ala hadn’t the time to find the right one , a few days later I found it on my bed.

How did you allocate your budget
The huge part of the budget was used for food and drink but decoration was also important to us, so we allocated a large part to stationary and flowers

How did you choose your photographer
Our photographers  were a real couple, we got a positive feeling when we met them, they were friendly and nice, and we love their natural pics

The Dress
The dress was by Matthan Gori, a Turkish designer based in Milan, and accessories as well.

The Suit and Bridesmaids
The suit by Pal Zileri. Bridesmaids haven’t the same designer dress because we prefer they feel comfortable in a dress they chose.

Theme or Colour Scheme
The colour palette was coral, peach, soft green and a touch of gold.

Flowers
amazing then hydrangeas and astilbe.

Decoration
Rustic with a lot of wooden details: barks for the centerpiece, wooden signals.

Food
Traditional food like Piadina and salumi, fresh pasta and a stunning roasted meat with vegetables.

Wedding Cake
It was huge! Decorated with fresh peonies and so tasty!

Entertainment
We chose a DJ set with a long personal playlist of different kind of music we love.

The Stationery
Claudia of Mondo Mombo was amazing, she created our invitations, the menu on rice paper, the seating chart, the table numbers painted on glass bottles.

Special Moments
We created a contest for our guests: To invent a song, and they were amazing, they created rhymes for beautiful and funny songs, they were really artists!

Advice to other couples
Be yourself and ask help because you need someone who give you advice and tips and also that support you in all the details.

Biggest surprise
That one of the songs! It was a unique time!
