Morning all, well as we speak I’m on my way to the airport to fly to Ibiza! It’s been a long, long week. I had a my first wedding of the season on Friday and another one yesterday. At the same time I have been trying to get all the blog posts written up for while I’m away this week, and make all my appointments for while I’m in Ibiza……but now I am packed and on my way to the sunshine.
As you know I also plan weddings in IbizaI have 5 out there this year, but I’m not actually going to be present at them all. Some of my brides want me to be with them from the beginning right to the end and that includes the day of the wedding, while others have booked me to plan the wedding from the UK, while they take care of the last week of preparation themselves. For this reason I have taken a week out with my lovely Husband Nik to meet as many Ibiza wedding suppliers as possible as well as visit as many of the venues. I’ve got between 20-25 appointments booked so I think I’m going to be pretty busy!
So I had to show you a gorgeous picture form one of Ibiza’s finest wedding photographers today in celebration of my trip.
What I love about Gypsy’s work is her use of light. shooting weddings in the UK is different from shooting them abroad, often the sunshine can be a fabulous asset to a shot but sometimes if you don’t know how to work with it it can really get in the way. Gypsy really masters the use of the sun, and I love the colours in particularly in this shot, the white of the wall and the blue of the sea and the sky are just beautiful.
I’m meeting Gypsy on wednesday for a coffee which I’m really looking forward to.
